THURSDAY'S GAME PREVIEWS

BOYS

MATCH OF THE DAY

#8 Mundelein at #15 Stevenson

The Mustangs and Patriots resume their heated rivalry on Thursday night in Lincolnshire; Mundelein has been perfect (5-0) while Stevenson has struggled coming out of the gate. A win here would be big for either team.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

#14 New Trier at #12 Loyola - The Trevians make the short journey to Wilmette to resume their rivalry with Loyola; expect a tough and heated battle between two closely matched teams.

#18 Waubonsie at #20 Naperville North - The Huskies won the first meeting between the two teams 11-10 in the first week of the season, so the Warriors will be looking to turn things around on this occasion in Naperville.

GBS at #18 Neuqua - A win for the Titans (3-3) could get them into the Top 25, while the Wildcats (3-7) could use a win to get their season headed in the right direction.

GIRLS

MATCH OF THE DAY

#12 LWE at #2 Naperville Central

The Redhawks have started the season perfectly with an 11-0 record, but they will need to beware of a challenge from Lincoln-Way East, who have won their only game played so far this season.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

#7 Loyola at #15 Evanston - Both teams are coming off close losses this week and would like nothing more than a win to rebuild the momentum they started with.

Marian at #5 Fenwick - The Friars earned a nice win over Stevenson on Monday night, but they need to avoid a letdown when Marian comes to town for a Catholic League contest.

#20 Naperville North at #18 Waubonsie Valley - The Warriors won the first match between the two teams 6-5 and have run out to a 7-2 record thus far; the Huskies (4-5) could use a big win to get them back to .500 on the season.
