GAME RECAPS (Tuesday, March 27)
 

BOYS

Lincoln-Way North 15 Andrew 10

Jake Roberts notched 6 scores and Curtis Thrun added 3 goals as the Phoenix defeated the T-Bolts 15-10 in a SWSC contest on Tuesday. Mike Doyle also blocked 12 shots in the win for LWN.

 

Lockport 14 Lincoln-Way East 4

Dave Hir recorded 6 goals and Dan Oldendorf added 4 scores in the Porters' 14-4 conference win over the Griffins.

 

GIRLS

Bremen 13 Evanston 2

Hannah Schultz scored 7 times and Emma Martinus put in 3 scores in Bremen's 13-2 win over Evanston.

 

Lincoln-Way Central 7 Homewood-Flossmoor 6

Danijela Jackovich scored 4 goals and totaled 9 steals to help LWC edge H-F by a 7-6 score on Tuesday. Ashley Dhooghe also scored 2 times in the Knights' victory. Rebecca Mathews tallied 4 scores in the loss for the Vikings.

 

Lincoln-Way North 11 Andrew 7

Jenna Tasic registered 5 scores as the Phoenix built an 8-2 halftime lead and emerged with an 11-7 win over Andrew on Tuesday night. Sam Klosak added 2 scores in the victory for LWN. Laura Freeman and Megan Hofer each notched 2 scores in the losing effort for the T-Bolts.

 

Lincoln-Way West 12 Bradley 5

Allison Rocha scored 4 times, Emily Gallagher put in 4 scores, and Becca Beeson made 12 saves to help LWW knock off Bradley 12-5 on Tuesday. Michelle Fairbairn also scored 2 goals in the win for West.

 

Lockport 9 Lincoln-Way East 7

Megan Cavanaugh scored 4 goals and Alyssa Black added 2 scores to lead Lockport past LWE 9-7. The Porters' leading scorer also combined with Liz Latka to earn 8 steals on the defensive end in the victory.

The Porters (6-1) look to stay perfect in the SWSC when they travel to Frankfort to take on Lincoln-Way East (1-5).

Andrew at Lincoln-Way North

Two of the top teams in the SWSC Red do battle on Tuesday in Frankfort when the Phoenix (3-1) face the T-Bolts (4-1-1).

MATCH OF THE DAY

Homewood-Flossmoor at Lincoln-Way Central

The ninth-ranked Vikings (5-3) face a stern test when they go on the road to face the sixteenth-ranked Knights (1-2), who begin a stretch of six games in five days.

 

KEEP AN EYE ON:

Evanston at Bremen

Bremen (10-2) plays host to Evanston (4-6) in a nonconference matchup; the Red Jaguars look to get on track after last Thursday's loss to Lyons, while the Wildkits hope to bounce back from a 1-3 performance in Week 3.
