Stagg 13 Homewood-Flossmoor 8

Zack Amendola totaled 3 goals, the trio of Gabe Jezierski, Nick Amendola and Olaf Wrzesinski each put in 2 scores and Lane Holin made 15 saves as the Chargers upended the Vikings 13-8 in a Monday morning contest. Haden Santefort scored 4 goals, Mason Riedel notched 2 scores and Luke Santefort made 15 saves and blocked a penalty shot in the losing effort.

 

OTHER KEY GAMES

Barrington 13 Palatine 8

Jim Gibson and Marshall Mathias each scored 3 goals and both Matt Gouskos and Mitch Gavars notched 2 scores each as the Broncos earned a 13-8 victory over Palatine in an MSL West contest. Chase Lesniak also scored once and dished out 5 assists in the win. Marcus Carter-Buckman and Ryan Schlaiss each scored 3 goals while Schlaiss also drew 5 ejections. Alex Adame and Ivan Turkan both added goals in the loss for the Pirates.

 

Buffalo Grove 6 Meadows 4

Liam Boubouleix and Matt Schulstad each scored 2 times to help lift the Bison over Meadows 6-4. Quinn Fitzsimons scored 2 goals in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

Fremd 16 Schaumburg 15

Robert DePau scored 5 goals and Dylan Assmann notched 4 scores as the Vikings snuck past the Saxons 16-15 on Monday evening. Zach Starkey also scored 3 times while Dan Anderson put in 2 scores in the winning effort. James Birriel tallied 8 scores, Christian Zielinski scored 3 times, and Tyler Gustafson put in 2 scores in the loss for the hosts.

 

Lincoln-Way North 13 Lincoln-Way Central 9

Tom Trojniar recorded 4 goals, Ryan Murphy netted 3 scores and Liam McGuire stopped 16 shots as the Phoenix got past LWC 13-9 on Monday. Matt Klock and Zach Otto each recorded 3 goals in the loss for the Knights.

 

Lincoln-Way West 12 Bradley 10

The Warriors claimed their first conference win of the season after getting past Bradley 12-10. Statistics unavailable for the victors. Carlos Leal tallied 5 scores in the loss for the Boilers.

 

Loyola 13 St Viator 3

Jack Schermerhorn registered 5 goals, Andrew Hodur netted 4 scores and Mike Considine tallied 3 scores as the Ramblers got past St Viator 13-3.

 

Prospect 15 Elk Grove 8

Sam Gabriel scored 5 goals and Isaac Ginnodo registered 3 goals as the Knights downed Elk Grove 15-8. David Dragne led the Grenadiers with 3 scores in the loss.

 

Sandburg 13 Lincoln-Way East 10

Mitch Zieler totaled 4 goals and 3 assists and Majd Ibrahim scored 3 times and dished out 5 assists as the Eagles knocked off LWE 13-10. Alex Serrano and Mike Hinde each added 2 goals while Nick Jackson made 11 saves in the SWSC Blue victory.

 

Wheeling 10 Hersey 6

The Wildcats kept their grip on the top spot in the MSL East after beating last year's divisional champions 10-6 on Monday night.

Sarah Dolitsky totaled 6 goals, Stephanie Pappas notched 3 scores and Morgan Bartelment rejected 14 shots as the Eagles defeated LWE 12-6 to improve to 11-0 on the season.

Buffalo Grove 10 Meadows 9

Sarah Harner scored 5 goals, Sarah Morosan netted 3 scores, and Jessi Graziano scored 2 times as BG fended off Meadows 10-9. Erin Pletch tallied 5 scores, Lizzie Hardt scored 3 times, and Betsy Zanocco blocked 22 shots in the one-goal loss for the Mustangs.

 

Conant 15 Hoffman 2

Carmen Rosas registered 5 goals and both Claire Rosas and Nicole Mihaylova put in 3 scores as Conant defeated Hoffman 15-2. Paulina Chowaniec added 2 scores and Sam Wooley led the defense with 7 steals in the win. Allie Ouimet and Jenny Fermaintt each tallied one score in the loss for the Hawks.

 

Fremd 10 Schaumburg 4

Emma Hoffman registered 4 goals and Emma Jeronimus stopped 9 shots as the Vikings jumped out to a 6-1 halftime lead en route to a 10-4 victory over Schaumburg. Becca Rutkowski, Karolina Urban, Emily Kini, Megan Younker, Kayla Helsdingen and Sarah Coombes all scored once in the winning effort. Britney Vasquez scored 2 times and Katrina Vargo made 6 saves in the loss for the Saxons.

 

Homewood-Flossmoor 7 Stagg 2

Emily Mathews recorded 3 goals and Amber Barney netted 2 scores as the Vikings earned a 7-2 win over Stagg on Monday morning. Andi Stilts and Alexis Anderson each added one score in the victory for H-F.

 

Lincoln-Way North 9 Lincoln-Way Central 4

The Phoenix earned a bit of revenge by beating LWC 9-4 on Monday night just two weeks after falling to the Knights at the LWE Tournament. Cassidy Degraff poured in 6 goals, Julia Porco scored 2 times, and Emily Cheshire tallied one score in the win. Cailey Davern, Delaney Shepard, Erin Muellerschoen and Kenzie Applequist each scored once in the loss for the Knights.

 

Palatine 15 Barrington 3

Caroline Wojtas poured in 10 goals and Tess O'Brien blocked 10 shots as the Pirates topped Barrington 15-3 on Monday evening. Caitlin McHugh scored 2 times and led the defense with 7 steals while Hannah Jozefat, Jackie Kincanon and Kristen Anderson each added one goal. Mia Latimer scored 2 times in the loss for the Fillies.

 

Prospect 16 Elk Grove 2

Niki Neumann recorded 4 goals, Danielle McCallister netted 3 scores and Lauren Broz allowed just 2 goals and scored once as the Knights defeated Elk Grove 16-2. Ellie McGough, Faye Barry and Gracie Dix each put in 2 scores in the winning effort. Ann Fulk and Michelle Vuong rounded out the scoring with one goal apiece for Prospect.

 

Vernon Hills 11 Niles West 8

Emilia Pranica and Lauren Wood both registered 3 goals while Lisa Cheng netted 2 scores in the Cougars' 11-8 triumph over Niles West.
