Andrew Bertschy notched 6 scores, Danny Farmer scored 5 times and Will Skowron blocked 8 shots in the Friars' 23-2 win over St Viator. Ryan Masi added 3 scores and DJ Perez chipped in with 5 assists for FHS.

 

Fenwick 15 Lindbergh 9

Danny Farmer recorded 6 goals, Jack Mahoney notched 4 scores and Will Skowron stopped 7 shots as the Friars got past Lindbergh 15-9 to advance to the event's title game against SLUH on Saturday night.

Andrew Shashin and Dan Maleski each tallied 3 scores while Alex Kapecki, Collin Kapecki and Liam Holzer each scored once in the Patriots' 9-5 win over Lindbergh in the event's third place game.

The Friars overcame a 5-2 deficit with a 5-0 second half run to beat SLUH 7-5 to win the DeSmet Tourney on Saturday night. Danny Farmer scored 4 goals, Ryan Masi put in 2 scores and Jack Mahoney netted one score in the victory. Will Skowron also made 9 saves and DJ Perez dished out 3 assists for the Friars.

Hersey 14 Hoffman 4

Jake Hall recorded 6 goals to lead the hosts past Hoffman 14-4 in the tournament opener on Saturday. Jacob Pasaye notched 2 scores in the loss for the Hawks.

 

Maine East 12 Elk Grove 11

Mateo Kozomara poured in 9 goals as the Blue Demons edged Elk Grove 12-11.

 

Maine South 8 Hersey 3

Phil Wachowski registered 5 goals to help the Hawks knock off Hersey 8-3.

 

Andrew 17 Maine East 5

Brett Hofer scored 5 goals, Eric Villasenor totaled 4 goals, Josh Stanek and Matt Bobber tallied 2 scores apiece and the goaltending duo of Colin Hovorka and Mike Brennan stopped 10 shots in the T-Bolts 17-5 win over Maine East. Mateo Kozomara recorded 3 goals in the loss for the Blue Demons.

Phil Wachowski tallied 4 scores to lead the Hawks past Hoffman 17-9.

David Dragne netted 8 goals in the Grenadiers 16-8 win over Hoffman in the event's third place game. Joey Smiley scored 3 times in the loss for the Hawks.

Mateo Kozomara recorded 7 goals as the Blue Demons upended Hersey 12-8 to claim third place at the event. Jake Hall registered all 8 goals in the loss for the Huskies.

Brett Hofer totaled 5 goals and drew 5 ejections while Dan Cavato scored 4 times and made 9 steals as the T-Bolts beat Maine South 14-6 to win the Elk Grove Tournament.

Brian Portland and Matt Saunders each scored 2 times to help lead the Red Devils over LWW 16-4. Jake Carlson notched 2 scores in the loss for the Warriors.

Peter Dales notched 4 scores Richard Poma put in 2 scores to lead the Titans to a 7-4 win over Hinsdale Central.

Cody Yeiser and Jim Estep each registered 3 scores in the Cougars' 14-3 victory over LWW.

George Lundgren recorded 7 goals to help the Lions outlast Loyola in overtime 11-10.

Robbie Wickes scored 4 times and Lawrence Cozzi put in 3 scores to lift OPRF over York 12-7. Kiernan Kelty and Matt Mitrovich each added 2 scores in the win for the Huskies.

 

St Ignatius 18 Loyola 14 (OT)

Shane Hughes totaled 9 goals and Billy Barth scored 4 times as the Wolfpack got past the Ramblers 18-14 in overtime. Andreas Christy notched 3 scores and Brendan Stelmach and Gunnar Glaab both put in one score in the win for SICP.

 

Oak Park 14 Niles West 13 (OT)

Kiernan Kelty, Lawrence Cozzi and Thomas Wolfe each scored 3 goals while Josh Gronwold put in 2 goals as Oak Park outlasted Niles West 14-13 in overtime on Saturday.

 

Lyons 13 St Ignatius 11

Jack Linden made 16 blocks to help the Lions fend off St Ignatius 13-11 to win their own tournament on Saturday afternoon. Sam Szczepaniak also scored 3 times in the win for the hosts. Billy Barth recored 4 goals, Shane Hughes netted 3 scores and Brendan Stelmach added 2 scores for the Wolfpack. Andreas Christy and Gunnar Glaab both put in one score in the loss.

 

 

NAPERVILLE NORTH TOURNAMENT

Naperville North 12 Fremd 7

Matt Magee totaled 4 goals and both Drake McClure and Joe Tomashek netted 2 scores as the Huskies got past Fremd 12-7 in the first game of the event. Brian Lapham, Charlie Owens, Nick Zillier and Spencer Wallace also scored once in the winning effort. Alex Nicholas and Zach Starkey both scored 2 times in the loss for the visitors.

 

Stagg 9 STC North 6

Gabe Jezierski and Nick Amendola each scored 4 goals to help lead the Chargers past STC North in the tournament opener for both teams. Peter Krivanec also scored once in the victory. Chris Stanek and Sam Lilly both scored 2 times and Garrett Allamian made 12 saves in the losing effort.

 

Sandburg 14 Fremd 6

Mitch Zieler recorded 5 goals and both Majd Ibrahim and Tino Pappas scored 3 times in the Eagles' 14-6 victory over Fremd. Alex Serrano, Jake Grella and Mike Hinde each added one score for the winners. Robert DePau tallied 3 scores, Alex Nicholas scored 2 times and Zach Starkey notched one score in the losing effort.

 

STC North 8 Schaumburg 8

The North Stars and Saxons finished in an 8-8 draw in the opening round, with North advancing to the 3rd place game via tiebreaker. Ryan Helfers scored 4 times and both Chris Stanek and Nathan Bawolek put in 2 goals in the draw. Garrett Allamian also made 8 stops for the North Stars. James Birriel put in 3 scores and Tyler Gustafson notched 2 scores in the draw for Schaumburg.

The hosts fended off Sandburg 7-6 to advance to the event's title game on Saturday. Joe Tomashek put in 4 scores, Spencer Wallace scored 2 times and Matt Magee netted one goal for the victors. Jimmy Foley and Mitch Zieler each scored 2 times in the loss for the Eagles.

Nick Amendola totaled 3 goals while Gabe Jezierski and John Schmidt both put in 2 scores as Stagg beat Schaumburg 11-6 to advance to the event's title game. James Birriel led the Saxons with 4 goals in the losing effort.

Dylan Assmann recorded 5 goals, Alex Nicholas tallied 4 scores and Robert DuPau put in 3 goals as the Vikings prevailed over Schaumburg 18-8 in the event's fifth-place game.

Evan Johnson scored the game-tying goal in the final minute of regulation and Zack Amendola scored the game-winner in overtime as Stagg beat Naperville North 14-13 to win the Huskies' Invitational over the weekend. Amendola, Johnson and Nick Amendola each scored 4 goals in the victory while Gabe Jezierski scored 2 times in the win. Drake McClure and Joe Tomashek each scored 4 goals and Matt Magee netted 2 scores in the loss for the hosts.

The Hornets earned a key 12-8 home victory over Waubonsie Valley on Saturday morning. Stats for the victors are unavailable. Katie Horn recorded 5 goals and Taylor Stoner scored 3 times as the Huskies knocked off Loyola 16-5. Julia Sajnaj tallied 4 scores in the loss for the Ramblers.

Allison Travetto, Claire Haas and Melissa Gartenberg each scored 3 goals and Annika Hotchkiss put in 2 scores in Stevenson's 14-3 win over H-F. Amber Barney netted 2 goals and Emily Mathews scored once in the loss for the Vikings.

Kaleigh Dolan, Julia Green, Sarah Caywood and Stephanie Jodloman each scored 3 goals to help lead the Trevians past Loyola 14-3. Julia Sajnaj netted 2 goals and Claire Voss scored once in the loss for Loyola.

 

Naperville North 6 Lyons 5

Eley Matern scored the game-winning goal in the final minute of Naperville North's 6-5 victory over Lyons. The Huskies trailed for most of the game before a 3-1 run in the final period helped them secure the win. Lauren Liberio also scored 2 times in the winning effort. Caroline Walsh led the Lions with 2 scores in the loss.

 

Fenwick 6 St Ignatius 6

Stephania Lopez scored two late goals in the final period and both goalies (Anna Sullivan, Jenny Stelnicki) made key saves in the last minute as the Friars and Wolfpack finished tied 6-6 at the end of regulation. Lopez scored 3 goals and Diana Fernandez put in 2 goals for SICP, while Kelly Frumkin scored 3 goals and Catie Wallace netted 2 scores for the Friars.

 

New Trier 4 Mother McAuley 3

Lydia O'Connell scored the eventual game-winner early in the fourth quarter of New Trier's 4-3 win over Mother McAuley. Lauren Barrett scored 2 times and Stephanie Jodloman added one goal in the win for the Trevians. Claire Mueller, Fran Bauer and Julie Olivares each scored once in the loss for the Mighty Macs.

 

Lyons 11 Naperville Central 5

Caroline Walsh and Julia Cohen each registered 3 goals and Erin Yang tallied 2 scores as the Lions walked away with an 11-5 win over Naperville Central. Emma Hirt and Kaysie Stuba each added one score in the win for LT. Kaela Codo notched 3 scores in the loss for Central.

 

Stevenson 10 Fenwick 9

Allison Travetto's counterattack goal with less than two minutes remaining helped seal Stevenson's 10-9 victory over Fenwick as the Patriots won the Mike Murphy Tournament on Saturday evening. The victors responded to a 6-3 deficit with a 4-1 run in the second half to even the score before Travetto's heroics.

 

Melissa Gartenberg and Travetto each scored 4 times while Annika Hotchkiss and Autumn Hoang each put in key goals in the victory. Gartenberg, who made 10 steals in the game, also forced a key turnover on Fenwick's final possession to seal the win. She also dished out 4 assists while Lauren Burns stopped 11 shots in the win.

 

Catie Wallace scored 4 goals, Eryn Kulik and Kelly Frumkin each registered 2 scores and Jillian Wickham scored once in the losing effort. Anna Sullivan also blocked 8 shots in the losing effort.

Maine West 9 Barrington 6

Holly Wasicak scored 4 goals, Annie Pichiotti netted 3 scores and Lilly Jensen scored 2 times and totaled 7 steals in the Warriors' 9-6 win over Barrington. Mia Latimer recorded 5 goals and Elizabeth Connors made 6 saves in the losing effort.

Tess O'Brien stopped 11 shots in the victory for Palatine. Niki Neumann tallied 2 scores and both Danielle McCallister and Gracie Dix both scored once in the loss for the Knights. Lauren Broz also stopped 6 shots in the losing effort.

 

Prospect 13 Buffalo Grove 4

Danielle McCallister, Gracie Dix and Michelle Vuong each scored 3 goals and Niki Neumann netted 2 goals as the Knights beat BG 13-4 in the event's third place game. Faye Barry and Megan Pfeiffer both notched one score and Lauren Broz and Neumann split time in the net and accumulated 6 saves. Jessie Graziano, Olivia Pontarelli, Sarah Harner and Sarah Morosan each tallied one score in the loss for the Bison.

Nina Relias recorded 4 goals to lead the Red Devils past LWW 10-3.

 

Hinsdale Central 8 Glenbrook South 7

Samara Lillioja netted 3 goals to help lead the Red Devils to an 8-7 victory over GBS. Kelly Klish scored 5 times in the loss for the hosts.

Dana Grad and Rachel Spector each scored 2 goals as the Titans used a 4-0 run to overcome a 4-3 deficit to beat LWW 7-4. Jilly Hebert, Kelly Klish and Maddie McMillan each added one score in the winning effort.

Oak Park 9 Sandburg 5

Genevieve Curry recorded 5 goals and Jilly Cronin scored 3 times as Oak Park defeated Sandburg 9-5 to get their own tournament underway. Jordin Hale also made 11 saves in the OPRF victory. Katie Flaherty scored 2 goals and three others scored once in the loss for the Eagles.

 

Lincoln-Way North 8 Bremen 7

Cassidy Degraff scored 5 goals, Sarah Jackson put in 2 scores and Laura Wolf made 9 saves as North got past Bremen 8-7. Julia Porco added one score in the Phoenix' win.

 

Sandburg 17 Lincoln-Way North 6

The Eagles bounced back from an early loss to OPRF by beating LWN 17-6. Statistics for the Eagles are unavailable. Cassidy Degraff recorded all 6 goals in the loss for the Phoenix.
