The Phoenix (14-0) will look to keep their perfect season alive when they travel to New Lenox to face their toughest challenge of 2016 thus far (Lincoln-Way Central). The Knights (12-1) have only lost once in the regular season and would love to wrestle the top spot in the SWSC Red division away from North by the end of the night.

The defending Mid-Suburban League champions (Barrington) look to head out on the road to exact a bit of revenge on their MSL West counterparts; the Vikings beat the Broncos 11-10 in Week 2 and the result of this contest could help decide the eventual division champion in 2016.

The Phoenix improved to 15-0 and took sole possession of the SWSC Red division after earning a 9-6 victory over LWC. Stats for the victors coming soon. Meanwhile, Cody Kolbus scored 2 goals, Matt Klock scored once and drew 4 ejections and Jake Burke totaled 16 saves in the loss for the Knights.

Mitch Gavars registered 5 goals and John Fischer scored 4 times as the Broncos evened things up atop the MSL West standings after beating Fremd 12-8. Dylan Assmann and Robert DePau each scored 3 goals in the loss for the Vikings.

 

Buffalo Grove 9 Hersey 5

Daniel Korol scored 3 times, Eid Shahatit and Keven Carr both scored 2 times and Anthony Murat made 18 saves as the Bison knocked off Hersey 9-5.

 

Fenwick 17 Mt Carmel 5

Matt Hoban scored 3 goals while Conor Hendzel, Daniel Lynch, Emmett Jenkins, Kyle Poland and Mickey McGuire each scored 2 times in the Friars' 17-5 victory over Mt Carmel.

 

Jones-Payton 17 Northside 5

Will Macellaio totaled 6 goals and Brennan Klaassen and Steven Fitzgerald both scored 4 times to help the Eagles beat Northside 17-5.

 

Lincoln-Way West 13 Bremen 12

The Warriors earned a 13-12 nonconference win over Bremen on Monday night. Stats for the winners coming soon. Meanwhile, Michael Feeley scored 4 times, David Sauerman totaled 3 scores and 5 blocks and Kevin Duffy recorded 2 goals and 4 assists in the narrow defeat.

 

Lyons 16 Homewood-Flossmoor 4

Sam Szczepaniak recorded 6 goals and Nick Rosenberger made 14 saves as the Lions defeated H-F 16-4 on Monday. George Lundgren, Michael Zahorik and Tommy Eckert each scored 2 times as well for the victors. John Weeks scored 3 goals and Luke Santefort made 10 stops in the loss for the Vikings.

 

McHenry 15 Riverside-Brookfield 8

Jackson Smith and Kevin Braun both scored 7 times and Adam Starus made 7 saves in the Warriors' 15-8 victory over the Bulldogs.

 

Neuqua Valley 13 Oak Park 4

Adam McGovern, Joey Dalesandro and JP Leshock each scored 3 goals and earned 3 steals while Kyle Geekie put in 2 scores as the Wildcats dodged both Oak Park and a ceiling tile that fell in the pool to head home with a 13-4 victory. Alec Schopler and Troy Salafatinos each added one score for the winners. Lawrence Cozzi and Thomas Wolfe each scored 2 goals and Kevin Obrecht made 14 saves for the hosts.

 

Palatine 21 Hoffman 5

Marcus Carter-Buckman scored 6 goals to lead the Pirates past Hoffman 21-5.

 

Prospect 10 Meadows 6

Isaac Ginnodo recorded 5 goals and Keith Rose made 11 saves to help the Knights beat Meadows 10-6. Charlie Borta made 11 saves in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

St Ignatius 16 Brother Rice 9

Shane Hughes registered 8 goals, Andreas Christy scored 4 times and Sam Enger totaled 6 saves and 8 steals in the Wolfpack's 16-9 triumph over Brother Rice.

 

York 16 Waubonsie Valley 2

Danny Stumpf recorded 5 goals, Alex Marlott and Nik Miklyukh each scored 3 times and Jordan Jopes put in 2 goals as the Dukes earned a 16-2 win over Waubonsie Valley. Wyatt Tiscareno scored both goals in the loss for the Warriors.

St Ignatius 10 Mother McAuley 9 (3 OT)

Nina Mantich scored a power play goal at the start of the third overtime to send the Wolfpack past Mother McAuley 10-9 in an MCAC classic. At the end of regulation, Mother McAuley's last second shot attempt was saved by St Ignatius' goalkeeper Jenny Stelnicki as the two teams finished regulation tied at 9-9. The back-and-forth contest was also tied at 5-5 at the break. The Wolfpack secured the top seed in next month's Catholic League conference tournament.

Jillian Schultz totaled 6 goals and 4 steals while Elizabeth Minnich contributed 2 goals and 6 steals as the Red Jaguars defeated LWW 10-3.

 

Conant 4 Schaumburg 2

Nia Tsoulos scored 3 goals, Hannah Lukas added one score and Cam Rosas totaled 12 saves and 3 steals as the Cougars held off Schaumburg 4-2. Becca Kasner scored both goals in the loss for the Saxons.

 

Elk Grove 6 Wheeling 5

Alyssa Rosenorn, Lilly Lawrin and Lindsey Hendren each scored 2 goals while Jessica Deering made 13 saves as the Grenadiers edged Wheeling 6-5. Rosenorn also led the defense with 4 steals. Adrienne Rozmus scored 3 times while both Adrianna Passannante and Paulina Stolarska each scored once in the loss.

 

Fenwick 13 Marian 0

Anna Sullivan, Kelly Frumkin and Sam Rodriguez each scored 2 goals and Eryn Kulik led the defense with 3 steals as the Friars shutout Marian 13-0.

 

Fremd 7 Barrington 2

Paulina Pappas totaled 4 goals and Emma Jeronimus made 19 saves as the Vikings defeated Barrington 7-2 to take over the lead in the MSL West division. Becca Rutkowski netted 2 goals and Karolina Urban scored once in the win for Fremd. Isabella Rojas and Mia Latimer each scored once and Ellie Connors made 8 saves in the loss for the Fillies.

 

Jones-Payton 5 Northside 1

Meredith Lohman recorded 2 goals while Dallas Brodersen, Haley Gibbs and Holly Beith Mangrum each put in one score in the Lady Eagles' 5-1 win over Northside. Joanna Phan scored once in the loss for NSP.

 

Lincoln-Way Central 13 Lincoln-Way North 12

Erin Muellerschoen scored the game-winning goal with five seconds remaining in regulation to send the Knights past LWN 13-12. Muellerschoen and Cailey Davern each scored 4 goals, Kim Bernhard scored 3 times and Nikki Howe tallied 2 scores for the winners. Cassidy Degraff totaled 8 goals, Julia Porco scored 2 times and both Jess Larson and Sarah Jackson scored one goal apiece in the losing effort.

 

Lyons 10 Homewood-Flossmoor 3

Annika Moore and Megan Kotil each scored 2 times and Kaysie Stuba recorded 5 steals, 3 assists and a goal as the Lions defeated H-F 10-3. Elisa Jaramillo, Greta Markey, Maddie Cordell, Olivia Land and Rhyan Komsthoeft each scored once while Madie Janik and Ali Bradbury combined to make 8 saves in the win.

 

Meadows 10 St Viator 1

Lizzie Hardt recorded 6 goals and Betsy Zanocco made 13 saves to help lead the Mustangs past St Viator 10-1 on Monday night. Maggie Goodwin scored 2 times while Emily Walters and Sara Luedloff each scored once in the win. Zoe Green scored the lone goal in the loss for the Lions.

 

Oak Park 7 Neuqua Valley 5

The Huskies went on the road to earn a 7-5 victory over Neuqua Valley. Addie Steward-Nolan, Genevieve Curry and Jilly Cronin each scored 2 goals while Kaitlyn Peterson denied 6 shots for the winners. Ellie Kennedy-Wood also scored once for OPRF. Zoe Salafatinos scored 3 goals, Gabby Koopmann and Julia Stege each scored once and Issi French made 13 saves in the loss for the Wildcats.

 

Palatine 8 Hoffman 1

Kristin Anderson, Mathilde Mogensen and Tess O'Brien each scored 2 goals while O'Brien (8 saves) and Megan Woell (5 saves) combined to let in just one goal in the Pirates' 8-1 victory over Hoffman.

 

Richards 13 Andrew 8

Sarah Coffman tallied 6 scores, Sinead Soltis added 4 goals and Natalie Fadden scored 3 times in the Lady Muttdogs' 13-8 triumph over Andrew. Jessica Gomez scored 3 goals, Cailey Pietrzyk netted 2 goals and Olivia Kasper stopped 7 shots in the loss for the T-Bolts.
