NAPERVILLE CENTRAL TOURNAMENT

Naperville Central 12 Hinsdale Central 0

Kent Emden (6 saves) and the Naperville Central defense earned a shutout as the Redhawks started their event by blanking Hinsdale Central 12-0 on Friday afternoon. Kyle Jackson, Nick Walker and Philip Emden each put in 3 goals while Brian Calabrese, Lucas Nervig and Michael Stern all tallied one score for the victors.

 

Glenbrook South 4 Lincoln-Way Central 3

Peter Dales tallied 3 scores and Brian Johnson made 14 saves to lead the Titans past LWC 4-3.

 

Naperville North 11 Mundelein 6

Cole Jacobs scored 4 goals, Jon Jon Pettinger scored 3 times and Jack Roche blocked 13 shots to lift the Huskies over Mundelein 11-6. Brian Lapham added 2 scores while the trio of Matt Magee, Reilly McDonnell and Spencer Wallace each scored once for North.

 

Naperville Central 16 Buffalo Grove 3

Kyle Jackson notched 4 scores, Nick Walker scored 3 times and Kent Emden made 10 saves in Central's 16-3 win over BG. Michael Stern, Philip Emden and Scott Piper each added 2 scores for the winners.

 

Naperville North 14 Glenbrook North 7

Charlie Ovens, Chris Popiolek, Cole Jacobs, Matt Magee and Jon Jon Pettinger all scored 2 goals to help the Buzzards dispatch GBN 14-7. Brian Lapham, Calvin Chow, Reilly McDonnell and Spencer Wallace also scored one goal each in the win.

 

Glenbrook South 12 Lake Forest 6

Peter Dales scored 5 goals, Brendan Chang netted 3 scores to lift the Titans over Lake Forest 12-6.

 

 

SANDBURG TOURNAMENT

Sandburg 7 Lincoln-Way North 6

The Eagles opened their own event by handing LWN (17-1) their first loss of the season. Sandburg edged the Phoenix 7-6 on Friday afternoon.

 

Andrew 9 STC North 5

Brett Hofer recorded 7 goals to lead the T-Bolts past STC North 9-5. Sam Lilly scored 2 goals and Garrett Allamian made 8 saves in the loss for the North Stars.

 

 

SHEPARD TOURNAMENT

Bremen 13 Mt Carmel 1

Michael Feeley tallied 6 goals, Steve Stronach netted 2 scores and Kevin Duffy totaled 6 assists and one goal as Bremen defeated Mt Carmel 13-1.

 

Jones-Payton 16 Julian 4

Will Macellaio recorded 7 goals and Nicolas Teodosescu scored 2 times in the Eagles' 16-4 win over Julian.

 

Bremen 13 Julian 7

Kevin Duffy and Michael Feeley both registered 4 goals as Bremen picked up their second win of the day after beating Julian 13-7.

 

 

WAUBONSIE VALLEY TOURNAMENT

Fremd 10 STC East 5

Dylan Assmann scored 3 goals and both Mike Kochanski and Ryan Dudar netted 2 goals in the Vikings' 10-5 victory over STC East. Derek Warnstedt dished out 3 assists and tacked on a goal of his own while Nate Jordan and Robert DePau each tallied one score for the winners. Andrew Roberge netted 3 goals and John Tarpey scored 2 times in the loss.

 

Highland Park 12 Latin 6

Slattery totaled 4 goals, Fox netted 3 scores and Hugh Laedlein added 2 goals to help the Giants get past Latin 12-6. Barbosa scored 4 goals and Sam Orlin notched 2 scores in the losing effort.

 

Waubonsie Valley 9 Pattonville 6

Wyatt Tiscareno registered 4 goals and Jon McWhirter scored 3 times in the Warriors' 9-6 victory over Pattonville on Friday evening. Caleb Steffens and Quentin Tiscareno each added one score in the win.

 

Fremd 15 Latin 1

Dylan Assmann registered 4 goals and Alex Schillinger, Derek Warnstedt, Kenny Barry and Robert DePau each scored 2 times in the Vikings' 15-1 win over Latin. Arna Macunous, Nate Jordan and Tarun Pothanker all scored once as well for the winners. Joslin scored once in the loss for the Romans.

Lyons 19 Palatine 3

The defending champions outscored Palatine 16-1 in the first half en route to a 19-3 victory on Friday in a nonconference affair. Dylan White scored 2 goals and Jake Conrad made 6 saves in the losing effort.

 

Oak Park 9 St Patrick 4

Lawrence Cozzi, Leo Manola and Matt Mitrovich all scored 2 goals and Kevin Obrecht made 12 saves as the Huskies defeated St Patrick 9-4. Aidan Crosby, Thomas Cozzi and Thomas Wolfe rounded out the scoring for OPRF with one score each in the win. Joe Gibson scored 3 goals in the losing effort for Pats.

 


 

 

 

JENISON TOURNAMENT

Naperville Central 16 East Kentwood 4

Kaela Codo scored 4 goals, Emily Westlove notched 3 scores and both Alli Hansen and Angie Benton put in 2 scores apiece in the Redhawks' 16-4 tournament-opening win over East Kentwood. Faith Vandercar and Sara Campbell combined to make 6 saves while Vandercar scored once from the field. Emmarie Moon scored 2 times and both Emily Funk and Emily Webb scored once in the loss.

 

 

PALATINE TOURNAMENT

STC North 4 Conant 3

Monica Guyett scored 3 goals and Brittany Veto scored once and led the defense with 5 steals to help the North Stars edge Conant 4-3. Claire Rich made 5 saves and Sarah Gibson earned 4 steals in the victory. Sam Wooley scored 2 goals and Nia Tsoulos scored once in the loss for the Cougars.

 

Palatine 7 Maine South 1

Mathilde Mogensen scored 4 goals and Kelsey Hank netted 2 scores as the Pirates beat Maine South 7-1. Jasmina Mesic added one score while Tess O'Brien made 14 saves in the winning effort.

 

Evanston 5 Lincoln-Way East 4

Giselle Figueroa scored the game-winning goal with :40 remaining in regulation to send the Wildkits past LWE 5-4 on Friday at the Palatine Tournament. Figueroa and Emily Mohrenweiser each scored 2 times while Becca Schumm scored once in the win. Nicole McCabe scored 2 goals, both Abby Olivieri and Keara Flaherty (5 steals) scored once while Claire Connors made 11 saves for the Griffins.

 

Neuqua Valley 6 Prospect 1

Zoe Salafatinos scored 4 goals and Issi French made 16 saves in the Wildcats' 6-1 triumph over Prospect. Catherine Carroll (4 steals) and Gabby Koopmann each added one score while Heather Sterchele dished out 3 assists in the win. Colleen Doyle scored the lone goal for the Knights in the loss.

 

 

ST IGNATIUS TOURNAMENT

St Ignatius 10 Homewood-Flossmoor 4

Diana Fernandez scored 4 goals and both Nina Mantich and Tara White scored 2 times as the Wolfpack got past Homewood-Flossmoor 10-4. Brianna Gist and Rosie Scannell both added one score for SICP. Alexis Anderson netted 2 scores while Emily Mathews and DeAvion Hughes scored once in the losing effort.

 

New Trier 13 Northside 3

Lauren Barrett registered 4 scores and Maggie Frentzel scored 2 times in the Trevians' 13-3 win over NSP.

 

Loyola 12 Buffalo Grove 4

Claire Voss totaled 4 goals to lead the Ramblers past BG 12-4 on Friday night. Diana Morosan and Sarah Harner both netted 2 goals in the loss for the Bison.

 

Lyons 8 Marian 0

Allie Bradbury, Madie Janik and the Lions' defense held Marian scoreless in order to earn an 8-0 win on Friday. Olivia Ohm scored 3 goals and Ellie Henderson scored 2 times in the winning effort while Janik and Bradbury combined to make 7 saves to go along with their combined shutout.

 

St Ignatius 14 Loyola 6

Stephania Lopez recorded 5 goals and Nina Mantich scored 4 goals as the Wolfpack defeated Loyola 14-6. Diana Fernandez added 3 goals while Brianna Gist and Rosie Scannell both scored once in the win. Claire Voss and Siobhan Murphy both scored 2 times in the losing effort.

 

 

STEVENSON TOURNAMENT

Stevenson 16 Rockford 6

Allison Travetto recorded 7 goals and the trio of Eileen Hoang, Lauren Maloney and Tanya Shkiler each put in 2 goals as the hosts knocked off Rockford 17-6. Hannah Raymond and Lindsay Hams each scored 2 goals in the loss for the Rams.

 

Okemos 13 Bremen 10

Isabella Morris scored 5 goals, Sarah Williams netted 4 scores and Sydney Fountain tallied 3 goals in the Chiefs' 13-10 win over Bremen. Jillian Schultz notched 6 goals while Ashley Siedschlag scored 3 times in the loss for the Red Jaguars.

 

Fenwick 11 Hudsonville 10 (OT)

Shannon Forst scored the game-winning goal just thirteen seconds into sudden-death overtime to send the Friars past Hudsonville 11-10. Catie Wallace recorded 4 goals in the win for Fenwick. Alaina Lubbers scored 5 times in the losing effort.

 

Mother McAuley 17 Rockford 8

Paulina Correa scored 8 goals and Annie Kelly, Claire Mueller, Jillian Mueller and Julie Olivares all scored 2 times as Mother McAuley defeated Rockford 17-8. Geena Peyton and Devin Flaherty combined to stop 9 shots while Chloe Ryan also tacked on a goal for the winners.

 

Stevenson 16 Okemos 6

Allison Travetto poured in 9 goals to lead the Patriots past Okemos 16-6 on Friday night. Fiona Gaffney also scored 3 times in the winning effort. Sydney Fountain tallied 4 scores in the loss for the Chiefs.

The Dukes defended their home turf by beating DLS 8-3 on Friday. Maria Rantis and Marissa Logan both scored 2 goals while Carli York, Grace Achepohl, Isabelle Gil and Winona Asher each scored once in the win. Leslie Garfias notched all 3 goals in the loss for the Meteors.
