Brother Rice went on a 10-3 run in the second quarter to pull away from St Rita in a 20-10 victory on Friday.

Peter Bruton scored in sudden death overtime to help Lyons beat Brother Rice 11-10 and advance to the state tournament next weekend. With the score tied late in the fourth quarter, Lyons' Matt Hiller scored with just under one minute remaining to give the Lions a 9-8 advantage. After coming up short on their next possession, the Crusaders got the ball back and called timeout with four seconds remaining. The Crusaders' Matt Joslyn sent the game into overtime after scoring with two seconds on the clock, then put Brother Rice ahead 10-9 with a goal in the second overtime period. Tim Cosentino netted the equalizer for Lyons with five seconds left in overtime to tie the score at 10-10, sending the game to sudden death overtime. Bruton would score the game-winner on Lyons' first possession in sudden death. Patrick Donovan scored 3 goals to lead the Lions, while Patrick Weigand and Hiller each added 2 scores in the win. Joslyn recorded 4 goals, Sean Davis chipped in with 3 goals, and Tony Mayer, JJ Marren, and Matt Stelnicki each tallied one goal in the loss for the Crusaders.
