MATCH OF THE DAY

6:00pm - #6 Lockport at #3 Naperville North

The Porters face their toughest test when they head to Naperville to take on the Huskies in a battle of 2012 state qualifiers. The Porters are undefeated so far this season, but they will need to step their game up if they hope to get past the Eric Curia-led Huskies.

 

KEEP AN EYE ON

5:30pm - #31 Schaumburg at #20 Fremd

The Saxons are hoping to make things interesting in the MSL West when they travel to Fremd to take on the Vikings; both teams enter the contest with 1-1 records within the division.

MATCH OF THE DAY

Naperville North 16 Lockport 11

Eric Curia recorded 8 goals and Nolan Roberts added 4 scores as the Huskies built a 10-3 lead by halftime and emerged with a 16-11 nonconference victory over Lockport. Garrett Nash registered 2 goals and both Drake McClure and Luke Landiak each added one score in North's win. Dan Oldendorf led the Porters with 6 scores in the loss.

 

OTHER KEY GAMES

Andrew 6 Bremen 5

Sean Emerson scored the game-tying goal and Alex Batuello provided the game-winner as the T-Bolts got past Bremen 6-5 on Tuesday afternoon.  Tim Yara scored 2 goals and Kevin Bukauski made 8 saves in the win for Andrew. Quinn Johnson scored 3 goals and Tony Zdanavicius made 12 saves in the loss for the Silver Snakes.

 

Buffalo Grove 12 Meadows 2

Anisse Chaker tallied 4 scores, KC Lotzer put in 3 goals, and Brendan Meyer scored 2 times as the Bison beat Meadows 12-2 in an MSL East contest.

 

Conant 6 Hoffman 5

Brennen Nagorzanski and Kyle Bradberry each scored 2 times and Aly Ahmed made 12 saves as Conant held off a late rally from Hoffman to earn a 6-5 conference win on Tuesday night. Adam Pasnicki led the Hawks with 2 scores in the narrow loss.

 

Elk Grove 11 Prospect 10

Kyle Phillips poured in 8 goals to lead the Grenadiers to an 11-10 victory over Prospect. Cam Mauer put in 4 goals and both Liam Hansen and Nathanael Ginnodo tallied 2 scores in the loss for the Knights.

 

Fremd 11 Schaumburg 6

JP French recorded 6 goals and Matt Emerson netted 2 scores as Fremd defeated Schaumburg 11-6. LJ Peterson scored 3 ties, James Birriel put in 2 goals, and Marty Faleni blocked 16 shots in the losing effort for the Saxons.

 

Hersey 13 Wheeling 4

George Vladmirov totaled 7 goals for the Huskies as they prevailed over Wheeling 13-4 on Tuesday. Dave Modlin and Nate Reiff each scored 2 times and Noah Ihde saved 12 shots in the loss for the Huskies.

 

Lake View 12 Prosser 10

Greg Johnson recorded 7 goals, Michael Velez put in 2 scores, and goalie Danny Warmowski blocked a penalty shot in the final minute to help Lake View hold off Prosser 12-10.

 

Maine South 19 Deerfield 4

Makai Deneve-Arnam totaled 4 goals and 4 assists and Jeff Siwek tallied 3 scores in Maine South's 19-4 victory over Deerfield. Matt Kramer and Ryan Mazza each scored 2 times and Kyle Christie registered 5 assists in the Hawks' win.

 

Naperville Central 13 Waubonsie Valley 7

Joe Bigenwald and Kyle Stablein both contributed 5 goals and Matt Prestinario made 18 saves and blocked 2 penalty shots as Naperville Central fended off Waubonsie Valley 13-7. Christian May, Luke Ryan, and Pat Donahue each added one score apiece in the win for the Redhawks. Mike McWhirter led the Warriors with 4 scores, while Brandin Krug, Cameron Steel, and Nathan Harris each chipped in with one goal each in the loss.

 

Niles West 15 Glenbrook North 11

Steven Renko scored 2 goals and added an assist during a 5-0 fourth-quarter run that helped the Wolves overcome an 11-10 deficit to beat GBN 15-11. Andrew Mudreac also scored 4 times in the win for Niles.

 

Palatine 19 Barrington 4

Alex Brons recorded 4 goals and Peter Blackham blocked 10 shots as Palatine earned a 19-4 victory over Barrington. Christian Kalfas, Kristian Kalev, Omar El Hoffi, and Wally Kleinfeldt each scored 3 goals in the Pirates' win. Brandon Baranowski and Chase Lesniak were among the goal scorers for the Broncos.

 

Sandburg 17 St Rita 6

Tomas Serrano and Zach Roper each scored 5 times in the Eagles' 17-6 victory over St Rita.

Cara Borkovec recorded 6 goals and Alexa Ovalle and Erin McDonald each scored 2 times as the Friars defeated Stevenson 14-6. Allison Travetto and Melissa Gartenberg both tallied 2 scores in the loss for the Patriots.

Barrington 20 Palatine 10

Catherine Byron and Kelly Meckert both registered 6 goals in the Fillies' 20-10 triumph over Palatine. Sam Gavars also scored 4 times and Kayla Widdowson totaled 2 goals and 4 saves in the Barrington victory. Maddy Burrell also stopped 5 shots in split-duty in goal for the winners. Rachel Chumbook put in 4 goals, Caitlin McHugh notched 3 scores, and Johy Topp scored 2 times in the loss for the Pirates.

 

Bradley 15 Richards 8

Drew L'Ecuyer, Katie Lehman, and Rachel Thorson all scored 3 times and Amber Forbes saved 13 shots and totaled 4 assists in the Boilers' 15-8 win over Richards. Celine Dalde and Regan Warmoth each added 2 goals and Riely Kane scored once in the win for Bradley.

 

Bremen 13 Andrew 10 (OT)

Hannah Schultz scored 7 goals and both Daisy Lozano and Sarah Minnich tallied 3 scores as Bremen held off Andrew 13-10 in overtime. Megan Hofer recorded 6 goals and Alicia Tebo tallied 2 scores in the loss for the T-Bolts.

 

Buffalo Grove 13 Meadows 5

Bridget Whited, Jessica Graziano, Meg Lotzer, and Sarah Morosan each scored 3 times in Buffalo Grove's 12-2 triumph over Meadows. Callie Fasching allowed just one goal in the second half to help the Bison pull away from the Mustangs to grab the MSL East win.

 

Conant 14 Hoffman 7

Angie Skittone scored 5 times, Carmen Rosas added 4 goals, and Maddy Demaret blocked 19 shots in Conant's 14-7 win over Hoffman in a MSL West division contest. Tori Johnson scored 3 times and Kasia Serwin netted 2 goals in the loss for the Hawks.

 

Fremd 10 Schaumburg 4

Mandy Borre and Sam DiCano both tallied 3 scores and Nicole Degla added 2 goals as Fremd knocked off Schaumburg 10-4. Bre Anderson and Tori Boldt each added one score in the Vikings' win. Ashley Johnson and Britney Vasquez each scored 2 times and Jessica Sumsky made 15 saves in the losing effort for SHS.

 

Lake View 17 Prosser 6

Baylee Cabrera and Jazzmine Easterling each scored 7 times, Halah Hamid slotted in 3 scores and saved 8 shots in Lake View's 17-6 triumph over Prosser.

 

Libertyville 9 Maine West 6

The Wildcats earned a 9-6 victory over Maine West to improve to 4-0 on the season. Carly Romano put in 3 goals and Sarah Godawa and Tara Woodford combined to save 14 shots in the loss for the Warriors.

 

Naperville Central 14 Waubonsie Valley 2

Kaela Codo and Madison Nervig each scored 4 goals and both Kristina Altuve and Leslie Calabrese put in 2 scores in the Redhawks' 14-2 victory over Waubonsie Valley. Central's defense totaled 20 steals in the win, with Altuve, Calabrese, and Michelle Spaits each contributing 5 steals apiece.

 

Oak Park 8 Prospect 3

Katie Appell scored 4 goals and Samantha Robbins recorded 3 scores to lead Oak Park past Prospect 8-3. Kallie Shields tallied all 3 goals for the Knights in the loss.

 

New Trier 10 Glenbrook South 4

Alexana Astor tallied 6 goals to lead the Trevians to a 10-4 road victory over GBS on Tuesday in Central Suburban League action.

 

STC North 11 Hinsdale South 4

Maddie Jones netted 4 goals, Lauren Gonsalves and Sarah Stern each notched 2 scores, and Hannah Horsfall blocked 11 shots as the North Stars defeated Hinsdale South 11-4. Jones also recorded 7 steals and Megan Calabrese chipped in on the defensive end with 4 steals for the victors.
