TUESDAY'S GAME PREVIEWS

BOYS

MATCH OF THE DAY

DeSmet at #5 Fenwick

The final game of DeSmet's trip to Illinois takes place at Fenwick, where the Friars will look to hand the Missouri team their third loss after they lost to Naperville Central on Saturday and to Mundelein in overtime last night. Fenwick enters the game in search of their tenth win after starting the season with a 9-2 record.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

Andrew at LWE; Stagg at LWC; LWN at Sandburg - The action heats up in the SouthWest Suburban Conference on Tuesday night, as several fixtures will help get things sorted out as we enter the fourth week of the season.

GIRLS

MATCH OF THE DAY

#4 Mother McAuley at #3 Lyons

The showdown between McAuley (4-2) and Lyons (7-0) in LaGrange could very easily be a sectional finals preview later this season, as both teams will play at the Lyons Sectional in May. Can the tough Lions defense that has only allowed 13 goals in seven games withstand a fierce challenge from the Macs, whose recent victories over Fenwick and Loyola have given them a boost of momentum. They key matchup will be between Katelyn Jacobs and the Lions' defense as they try to limit the production of offensive standout Yuri Chavez.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

#15 Bremen at #5 Fenwick - Bremen (12-1) heads to Oak Park to take on Fenwick as they try to spring an upset over the defending champs. The Friars earned two wins last week over Stevenson and Marian and will look to do the same here on Tuesday.
