New Trier 8 Glenbrook South 6

Jack Riggio scored 3 goals and Graham Wooley put forth a stellar performance in goal to lead New Trier past GBS 8-6 on Thursday night. Peter Dales led the Titans with 2 goals and Davis Hianik made 9 saves in the losing effort.

 

OTHER KEY GAMES

Buffalo Grove 17 Meadows 8

KC Lotzer scored 7 times and Brandon Hausfeld added 5 goals as the Bison upended Meadows 17-8 in an MSL East fixture on Thursday evening.

 

Glenbrook North 10 Maine East 6

John Roberts scored 5 goals, Robert Liberman contributed 2 goals and 4 assists, and Sam Fishman saved 8 shots in the Spartans' 10-6 victory over Maine East.

 

Highland Park 18 Deerfield 10

Danny Hoffman recorded 7 goals and Ben Laedlein netted 5 scores in the Giants' 18-10 win over Deerfield on Thursday. Jason Fox scored 3 times, Marc Weiss put in 2 goals, and Eddie Hochman tallied one score in the win for Highland Park.

 

Lyons 11 Neuqua Valley 5

George Lundgren and Thomas Waters each recorded 3 goals and both George Duffy and Thomas Kaptur scored 2 times as the Lions defeated Neuqua Valley 11-5.

 

Maine South 10 Evanston 4

Makai DeNeve-Arnam scored 6 times, Phil Wachowski totaled 2 goals and 3 assists, and both Ben Tatlock and Matt Cacciatore scored once in the Hawks' 10-4 win over Evanston. Tatlock also contributed 4 assists in the winning effort. Liam O'Connor registered 4 scores in the loss for the Wildkits.

 

Naperville Central 12 Hinsdale South 1

Joe Bigenwald scored 3 goals and both Kyle Jackson and Ryan Donahue netted 2 scores in the Redhawks' 12-1 win over Hinsdale South.

 

St Rita 19 R-B 8

Chuck Henrichs, Dan Carone, Dan Sliazas, Eric Johnson, Kevin Cronin, and Matt Lopez combined to score 15 goals in the Mustangs' 19-8 triumph over R-B.

 

St Viator 12 STC East 9

The Lions went on the road and earned a 12-9 victory over STC East on Thursday. Tyler VanGyseghem scored 4 times and John Tarpey notched 2 goals in the loss for the Saints.

Bremen 6 Mother McAuley 3

Hannah Schultz and Sarah Minnich each scored 2 goals, Jacky Zuniga added one goal and 9 steals, and Melissa Barrios made 10 saves as the Red Jaguars defeated Mother McAuley 6-3. Bremen used a 3-0 run in the third period to extend their 2-1 halftime lead en route to the win.

Evanston 11 Maine South 1

Honore Collins totaled 3 goals, Karissa McBride and Madison Collins both notched 2 scores, and Courtney Gregori, Aliya Abdelhak, Edie Block and Millie Rosen each scored once in the Wildkits' 11-1 victory over Maine South.

 

Lyons 10 Neuqua Valley 6

Haley Hughes and Julia Cohen both registered 3 goals, Emma Hirt netted 2 goals, and Jessie Wittenberg blocked 10 shots in the Lions' 10-6 victory over Neuqua Valley. Allie Kurth and Meredith Land each added one score and a pair of assists in the win for LT. Morgan Miller and Sammi Jaquez both scored 2 goals, Kaitlyn Gorski and Wyli Erlechman both added one goal, and Issi French saved 11 shots in the loss for the Wildcats.

 

Mundelein 19 Lake Forest 4

Allie Booth and Karrie Kozokar both totaled 6 goals and Emily Garcia scored 3 times as Mundelein topped Lake Forest 19-4.

 

Naperville Central 14 Wheeling 5

Michelle Spaits recorded 4 goals and the trio of Emily Westlove, Jessica Fox, and Kristina Altuve each put in 2 scores in the Redhawks' 14-5 win over Wheeling on Thursday. Alli Hansen, Angie Benton, Anne Marie Gunn, and Beth Ryan all scored once, Altuve totaled 6 steals and 4 assists, and Faith Vandercar made 5 saves in the winning effort. Theresa Godlewski netted all 5 goals in the loss for the Wildcats.

 

STC North 6 York 4

Katie Quinn scored 3 goals and Brittany Veto, Monica Guyett, and Nicole Guyett each scored once in the North Stars' 6-4 win over York. Monica Guyett and Katie Difiglio also combined to make 11 steals in the winning effort.
