Kent Emden made 6 saves and allowed just one goal as the Redhawks went on the road to earn a 13-1 win over Waubonsie Valley on Tuesday night. Eric Stablein scored 4 times, Kyle Mallen netted 3 goals and Lucas Nervig tallied 2 scores for the winners. Wyatt Tiscareno scored the lone goal for the Warriors while Spencer Weiland stopped 10 shots in the losing effort.

 

Niles West 15 Glenbrook North 5

AJ Durakovic totaled 5 goals and drew 5 ejections, Simon Villegas scored 4 times and earned 6 steals and Lucas Brace scored 4 goals and made 4 steals in the Wolves' 15-5 win over GBN.

 

Palatine 21 Hoffman 11

Rares Maior totaled 5 goals to help the Pirates get past Hoffman 21-11 in an MSL West contest. George Isaac scored 9 times in the loss for the Hawks.

 

Prospect 10 Meadows 9

Isaac Ginnodo tallied 4 scores and Jack Gabriel put in 3 scores as the Knights fended off Meadows 10-9 on Tuesday. Mike Dellorto scored 3 times while both Ethan Masters and Theo Grant tallied 2 scores in the losing effort.

 

Sandburg 18 Bremen 9

Alex Serrano and Marty Blake both recorded 4 goals while Jake Grella notched 3 scores as the Eagles opened their season with an 18-9 victory over Bremen. Nick Jackson also stopped 10 shots in three quarters of play for the winners. Michael Feeley scored 5 goals while Kevin Duffy netted 3 scores in the losing effort.

Isabel Riggio added a goal, Frentzel led the defense with 4 steals and Kami Grochowski won all 4 swim-offs in the win. Kaysie Stuba scored 3 goals and drew 4 ejections while Madie Janik made 9 saves in the losing effort. Megan Kotil and Olivia Land also scored one goal apiece and Victoria Guevara led the Lions' defense with 4 steals.

Jillian Schultz totaled 4 goals and 7 steals, Leah Wood added 3 goals and Andie Stronach blocked 7 shots in Bremen's 11-6 victory over Sandburg. Brittany Lira and Elizabeth Minnich each added 2 goals for the victors.

 

Elk Grove 6 Wheeling 3

Lilly Lawrin totaled 3 goals and 6 steals while Lindsey Hendren scored 2 times and Jessica Deering made 12 saves in the Grenadiers' 6-3 win over Wheeling. Alyssa Rosenorn also scored once and made 5 steals in the win. Holly Schroeder notched 2 scores while Argelia Diaz scored once in the loss for the Wildcats.

Becca Schumm netted 5 goals, Giselle Figueroa added 2 scores and Olivia Everhart made 10 saves and earned a shutout in the Wildkits' 8-0 win.

 

Highland Park 10 Glenbrook South 5

Abbey Hodges recorded 13 saves  and Natalie Gelberg scored 5 times to help lead the Lady Giants to a 10-5 victory over GBS. Kelly Klish scored 3 goals in the loss for the Titans.

 

Libertyville 14 Maine West 10

Jess Lanty and Laurie Niederbrach each scored 3 goals and Maddie Bollinger stopped 18 shots as the Wildcats earned a 14-10 win over Maine West. Hannah Mandralla and Sara Clark each tallied 2 scores while Dani Vrba, Emma Yonan, Hayden Marth and Lily Marcus each put in one score for the winners. Kristen Burger scored 6 goals and both Annie Picchiotti and Veronica Dunn scored 2 times in the loss.

 

Naperville Central 13 Waubonsie Valley 1

Kaela Codo registered 3 goals, Angie Benton and Rylee Brower both scored 2 times and Faith Vandercar stopped 8 shots as the Redhawks jumped out to an 11-1 halftime lead en route to a 13-1 victory over Waubonsie Valley. Emily Westlove contributed 3 assists, 3 steals and a goal in the win. Kimela Srey put in one score in the loss for the visitors.

 

Neuqua Valley 6 Metea Valley 5

Catherine Carroll and Heather Sterchele each scored a pair of goals and Issi French made 11 saves in the Wildcats' 6-5 win over Metea Valley. Jonel Carroll and Zoe Salafatinos each added one goal, Kendall Bahr made 2 key saves in the opening quarter and Amy Blencowe drew 3 ejections in the winning effort. Alex Cerra and Emily Garza each scored 2 goals while Abby Smedley scored once in the narrow loss for the Mustangs. Rachael Carlen also made 8 stops in the losing effort for Metea.

 

Oak Park 18 Homewood-Flossmoor 9

Genevieve Curry netted 6 goals, Tamsen Cronin put in 5 goals and Jilly Cronin scored 4 times to help the Huskies get past H-F 18-9 on Tuesday night. Ellie Kennedy-Wood, Julia Thomason and Kevan Casson all scored once while Kaitlyn Peterson made 10 saves for the victors. Alexis Anderson and Emily Mathews led the hosts with 3 scores apiece while Brooke Pair, Briana Rauch and Kayln Wright all scored once.

 

Richards 18 Hinsdale South 8

Sinead Soltis scored 7 goals, Natalie Fadden put in 5 scores and Sarah Coffman totaled 2 goals, 8 steals and 9 assists in the Lady Muttdogs' 18-8 win over Hinsdale South. Briana Vaselik scored 3 goals in the loss for the Hornets.

 

Stevenson 15 Loyola 10

Allison Travetto poured in 7 goals, Claire Haas scored 4 times and Lauren Burns made 15 saves in the Patriots' 15-10 victory over Loyola. Lauren Maloney and Tanya Shkiler each added 2 goals in the win. Claire Voss registered 5 scores, Lauren Voss scored 3 times and Meg Dixon made 10 saves in the loss for the Ramblers. Alana Dean and Siobhan Murphy each added one score in the losing effort.
