The three-day Fenwick Tournament gets underway in Oak Park on Thursday night with a fixture between the two local teams (#6 Fenwick vs #28 Oak Park) at 5:00pm. #24 H-F takes on #10 Neuqua Valley in the second game, #38 LWE faces #7 St Ignatius in the third game, #11 Brother Rice and #1 Stevenson clash in the night's fourth contest and the evening wraps up with #30 Curie facing #18 St Patrick.

Conor Hendzel, Noah Groll and Tommy Martino each scored 2 goals to help Fenwick earn a 12-6 victory over Oak Park. Thomas Wolfe scored 3 goals, Lawrence Cozzi netted 2 scores and Kevin Obrecht made 10 saves in the losing effort.

 

Neuqua Valley 7 Homewood-Flossmoor 4

Adam McGovern scored 3 goals, Joey Delesandro led the defense with 6 steals and Jacob Cunningam made 11 saves in the Wildcats' 7-4 win over H-F. Dalesandro, Brandon Gorski, JP Leshock and Troy Salafatinos each scored once in the win. Henry Kreis, Jack Knetl, Michael Bonthron and Travis Tanner scored one goal each while Luke Santefort stopped 12 shots in the loss.

 

St Ignatius 13 Lincoln-Way East 9

Shane Hughes scored 6 times, Moises Lopez notched 4 scores and Sam Enger made 6 saves as SICP got past LWE 13-9 on Thursday. Andreas Christy, Jack Dunn and Theo Mossman each added one score in the win for the Wolfpack.

 

Stevenson 20 Brother Rice 4

Collin Kapecki scored 7 goals and Andrew Shashin tallied 5 scores in the Patriots' 20-4 win over Brother Rice. Cristiano Tomasetti, Dan Maleski and Eric Osuch also scored 2 goals apiece for the winners.

 

Curie 6 St Patrick 5

Adrian Lemus and Omar Pantoja both scored 2 times to help the Condors beat St Patrick 6-5. Michael Taylor recorded 3 goals in the loss for the Shamrocks.

Buffalo Grove 8 Elk Grove 6

Billy Wade, Keven Carr and Ryan Lawson each scored 2 goals while Anthony Murat made 8 saves as the Bison defeated Elk Grove 8-6. Adam Doruff tallied 3 scores in the loss for the Grenadiers.

 

Glenbrook South 11 Maine East 2

Peter Dales tallied 4 scores, Tucker Nienhaus scored 2 times and Brian Johnson made 5 saves to help the Titans beat Maine East 11-2.

 

Lockport 9 STC North 6

Eric Krawczyk scored 4 times and Matt Zajac added 2 scores as the Porters beat STC North 9-6. Jacob Sweis, Ian Greenway (4 KO drawn) and Matt Zalesko each added one score in the win for Lockport. Kieran Murphy registered 2 scores and Garrett Allamian made 7 saves in the loss for the North Stars. Jack Williams, John Quinn and Nathan Bawolek also scored once in the losing effort.

 

Maine West 13 Jones-Payton 8

Brendan Atwood recorded 10 goals for the Warriors as they secured a 13-8 victory over the Eagles. Will Macellaio notched 3 scores in the loss for Jones-Payton.

Evanston 18 Glenbrook North 0

Olivia Everhart and the Evanston Wildkits earned an 18-0 win over GBN on Thursday. Giselle Figueroa scored 4 goals, Emma Stein and Maddie Schumm both scored 3 times while Becca Schumm, Riley Hughes and Sydney Bernadel all tallied 2 scores in the win. Christina Schumm and Hannah Allen also scored for Evanston.

Glenbrook South 10 Deerfield 6

GBS earned a 10-6 win over Deerfield on Thursday. Statistics for the winners coming soon. Katherine Rogers and Naomi Wills both scored 2 goals while Rachel Ward and Sarah Durbala each tallied one score in the loss of the Warriors.

 

Jones-Payton 13 Maine West 4

The Lady Eagles used a balanced offensive attack to earn a 13-4 road victory over Maine West. Kristen Burger scored 3 times in the loss for the Warriors.

 

Lockport 4 STC North 3

Emily Adelman scored the game-winning goal with twenty seconds left in regulation to send the Porters past STC North 4-3 on Thursday night. Emmy Feddor, Hannah Turner and Sarah Gibson each scored one goal while Claire Rich made 7 saves in the loss.
