WEDNESDAY'S GAME PREVIEWS

BOYS

MATCH OF THE DAY

#3 Brother Rice at #4 Lyons

TIE ALERT! Without bothering to look it up, the last several meetings between the two teams has resulted in either a draw or an OT win for one of them (the most recent was a 10-10 tie at the Fenwick Tournament in early March). With both teams assigned to the Lyons sectional at the end of the season, this could be another sectional final preview, the second in two days at the LT pool after the Lyons' girls played Mother McAuley there yesterday.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

#7 Latin at #6 St Ignatius - When talking about sectional previews, here is another rematch from last year's UIC sectional between the host Wolfpack and the visiting Romans.

#20 Schaumburg at #5 Fenwick - The Saxons have been on a roll lately, so they will be looking to pull off a major upset this evening when they travel to Oak Park to take on Fenwick. The Friars are coming off a win over DeSmet on Tuesday night and will look to build off the victory against Schaumburg.

GIRLS

MATCH OF THE DAY

#5 Fenwick at Resurrection

Resurrection has shown steady improvement over the last two years, but they will need a huge performance on Wednesday when they host Fenwick in a Catholic League contest.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

Rolling Meadows at #26 Hersey - The Huskies (8-3) could use a win in this MSL East matchup on Wednesday in order to boost their hopes of returning to the Top 25 this week. Meanwhile, the Mustangs enter the contest with a 1-3 record but could look to pull off a stunner and earn their second conference win in three tries.
