Naperville Central 3 Fenwick 3

QUARTER 3

-----  The two teams are deadlocked at the break, the result of some tough defense and solid goalkeeping on both ends. The Redhawks built some momentum early in the second period, but the Friars' response was excellent and we have a lot to determine here in the second half.
-----  To those following along live, there is about two minutes left in the break...we are posting our updates as close to real-time as we possibly can.
6'30 Wendt is now 3-for-3 on swimoffs...Menis forces a turnover, however, and Central has a shot blocked out of bounds and retains possession.
6'00 Reasons skips a shot wide to the right and Fenwick counters.
5'48 Brian Barron draws an ejection, but his lob shot is denied by Kelley.

2'55 Wendt evens things up on the counterattack, scoring from the left post!
2'30 Steal by Menis in the backcourt, draws an ejection on Brian Barron, finds Depew who has only Napleton to beat and the Fenwick keeper IS BRILLIANT IN MAKING THE SAVE OF THE GAME! We remain scoreless even though Central had a huge chance just then.
1'10 The teams trade possessions with no solid chances coming in the next minute.
0'45 Stanley draws a foul but shoots over the net.
0'35 UNREAL! Borkovec has a corner open on the left side but Kelley comes out of nowhere to get his hands on it and bring it to safety! Both goalies have made a huge difference in this quarter and this game!
0'35 Central timeout
0'20 Fenwick gets a stop, then Wendt and Menis do battle on the left post...Fenwick keeps possession and nearly gets a goal as the buzzer sounds (it may not have counted anyways,  but it drew a rise from the crowd).

Naperville Central 4 Fenwick 4

QUARTER 4

-----  It's all on the line now in the final seven minutes of this second semifinal game. Can Central do the unthinkable, or will Fenwick rise to the occasion?
6'40  Fenwick has it to start and Wendt looks to take over now...he gets to 2m, turns his defender, and calmly waits for the right moment to get the ball past the keeper and it's 5-4 Fenwick.
6'09 WENDT AGAIN! He scores from 2m and it's a 6-4 Fenwick lead.

2'45 Wendt turns his defender but Kelley is out for a nifty block at 2m.
2'20 Brian Barron with a steal; Wendt gets it on the right wing and finds Osmalak open on the left post and his shot is good and it's 8-4 Fenwick and this one looks close to finished!
1'45 Central earns an ejection; Danny Tucker draws a penalty shot for Central...NAPLETON WITH THE PENALTY SAVE AND THEN MAKES ANOTHER SAVE TO SEAL THE WIN FOR FENWICK!!!
0'50 Depew blocks a shot attempt by Wendt from 7m
0'20 Fenwick stops Central and can run the clock out if they choose...
0'05 Late, late timeout called by Central
