Play-In Game
(8) Palatine 15 (9) Elk Grove 9
Monica Dorszewski scored 7 times and Katie Brown added 3 scores as the Pirates defeated Elk Grove 15-9 in the play-in game at the Barrington Sectional on Tuesday.
Thursday, May 13
Quarterfinals
(1) Fremd 17 (8) Palatine 4
Erika Lauraitis totaled 11 goals and Megan Kennedy added 4 scores as Fremd defeated Palatine 17-4 in the first quarterfinal game at Barrington on Thursday. Cyndi Bergloff, Katie Brown, Katy Jo Peters, and Nicole Huffman each tallied one score in the loss for the Pirates.

(4) Buffalo Grove 12 (5) Conant 6
Kathryn Emerson scored 6 goals and Angela Rodriguez added 3 scores to lead Buffalo Grove to a 12-6 victory over Conant. Nicki Delaney, Roni Rebish, and Sara Fasching also scored one goal apiece in the win for the Bison. Six players scored one goal apiece for the Cougars in the loss.

(2) Schaumburg 17 (7) Meadows 4
Jackie Sumsky saved 17 shots and eight Saxons recorded goals in Schaumburg's 17-4 victory over Meadows.

(3) Barrington 17 (6) Hoffman 5
The Fillies got off to a quick start and led Hoffman 12-1 at halftime before emerging with a 17-5 victory over the Hawks on Thursday. Erika Elliott led Barrington with 7 goals, while Molly Burke scored 3 times and Catherine Byron chipped in with 2 goals in the win. Rachel Gallo and Sharon Sturnfield each scored 2 goals in the loss for Hoffman.
Friday, May 14
Semifinals
(1) Fremd 12 (4) Buffalo Grove 1
Erika Lauraitis scored 5 goals and Samantha DelPrado added 4 scores to lead Fremd to a 12-1 victory over Buffalo Grove in the first semifinal at Barrington on Friday. Sam Matuszewski added 2 scores and Emily Orlowski scored once in the win, while goalie Julie Conrath made 12 saves and allowed just one goal to Buffalo Grove's Angela Rodriguez.
(3) Barrington 11 (2) Schaumburg 8
Erika Elliott recorded 5 goals as Barrington held off Schaumburg 11-8 to advance to the sectional final game at their home pool on Saturday. The Saxons kept things close behind 3 goals from Krissy Bessler, 2 scores from Corinne Trujillo, and 12 saves and a goal from keeper Jackie Sumsky.
Saturday, May 15
Finals
(1) Fremd 12 (3) Barrington 3
Erika Lauraitis totaled 6 goals and Samantha DelPrado registered 3 scores to help lift Fremd to a 12-3 state-qualifying win over Barrington on Saturday afternoon. Lauren Zambelli, Taylor Spoonholtz, and Sam Matuszewski each chipped in with one score in the win for the Vikings, while goalie Julie Conrath made 17 saves for Fremd. Christina Byron, Erika Elliott, and Yessica Buenrostro each tallied one goal apiece for the Fillies in the losing cause.
