SCHAUMBURG SECTIONAL

Monday, May 7

Play-In Games

Barrington 20 St Viator 12

The Broncos poured in 20 goals to beat St Viator 20-12 and advance to take on Schaumburg in the next round.

 

Prospect 12 Meadows 7

Cam Mauer and Michael Morikado each scored 3 times and both Liam Hansen and Nathanael Ginnodo put in 2 scores as Prospect knocked off Meadows 12-7 on Monday night.

 

Wednesday, May 9

Quarterfinals

Fremd 20 Prospect 4

JP French scored 10 goals, Ryan Helsdingen netted 4 goals, and Andre Degla notched 3 scores as Fremd defeated Prospect 20-4. Liam Hansen scored 3 times in the losing effort for the Knights.

 

Hoffman 20 Hersey 4

Mike Desider registered 4 scores Adam Pasnicki, Adam Tepperman, Nick Jessee, Sang Han, and Stephen Jatich all netted 3 scores as Hoffman rolled to a 20-4 victory over Hersey. Logan Gizel also recorded 19 saves in the Hawks' win.

 

Schaumburg 16 Barrington 6

Randy Carr scored 6 times and Marty Kwiatkowski and Matt McMullen each added 3 scores as SHS beat Barrington 16-6 on Wednesday. James Rodney nicked 2 goals in the loss for the Broncos.

 

Conant 22 Elk Grove 6

Alan Wojciechowski tallied 6 goals to lead Conant past Elk Grove 22-6. Marek Burtan led the Grenadiers with 4 goals in the loss.

 

Friday, May 11

Semifinals

Fremd 12 Hoffman 4

JP French tallied 5 scores, Andre Degla netted 4 goals, and Max Plichta blocked 26 shots in the Vikings' 12-4 victory over Hoffman. Mike Desider led the Hawks with 2 goals in the loss.

 

Schaumburg 8 Conant 2

Randy Carr recorded 4 scores and Matt McMullen netted 3 goals as Schaumburg defeated Conant 8-2 on Friday. Marty Faleni also made 7 saves in the win for the Saxons. JC Virta and Jon Burke each recorded once goal in the loss for the Cougars.

 


 

 

Saturday, May 12

Finals

(1) Fremd 6 (2) Schaumburg 2

Andre Degla and Ryan Helsdingen each scored 2 times and Max Plichta recorded 14 saves as Fremd beat Schaumburg 6-2 to advance to the state tournament. JP French and Luke Stark notched the other goals for the victorious Vikings. Marty Kwiatkowski and Randy Carr each tallied one score in the loss for the Saxons.
