2019 SECTIONALS
More than 150 boys and girls teams will begin their quest for a chance to advance to the state tournament, starting with the sectional play-in games on May 6 & 7.

The girls' quarterfinal action starts on May 8, followed by the boys' quarterfinal games on May 9. The sectional semifinals are played on May 10, with the sectional final games all taking place on Saturday, May 11.

Links to every sectional site are provided below. These will be updated continuously with schedules, game times, and scores/recaps throughout the week of sectionals. At the end of the week, we will have Sectional Ballers and the All-Sectional Teams (as soon as they are submitted to us from each sectional site).

Monday, May 6

Play-In Games

(7) Hinsdale Central 16 (10) Hinsdale South 5

Aman Natt scored 6 goals while Katrina Geiersbach totaled 4 scores and 4 assists in the Red Devils' 16-5 win over Hinsdale South.

(9) Neuqua Valley 8 (8) Waubonsie Valley 6

Becca Gray totaled 4 goals to help the Wildcats get past Waubonsie Valley 8-6.

Wednesday, May 8

Quarterfinals

(1) Naperville North 15 (9) Neuqua Valley 0

Anna Tarantino recorded 6 goals while both Lainey Eckholm and Taylor Wessel scored 4 times as the Huskies and goaltender Grace Raquel earned a 15-0 shutout win over Neuqua Valley.

(5) Metea Valley 6 (4) STC East 0

Cosette Rhoads, Lucy Siwicki and Melanie Patterson each scored 2 goals in the Mustangs' 6-0 shutout win over STC East.

(2) Naperville Central 18 (7) Hinsdale Central 4

Emily Wagner scored 4 goals and Emma Guccione notched 3 scores in the Redhawks' 18-4 victory over Hinsdale Central. Katrina Geiersbach scored 4 goals in the loss for the Red Devils.

(3) STC North 15 (6) Lockport 6

Olivia Traxler recorded 6 goals, Jules Engesser netted 5 scores and Lexi Coakley made 7 saves in the North Stars' 15-6 win over Lockport.

Friday, May 9

Semifinals

(1) Naperville North 16 (5) Metea Valley 1

Taylor Wessel totaled 6 scores, Anna Tarantino recorded 4 goals and Lainey Eckholm put in 2 scores in the Huskies' 16-1 win over Metea Valley.

(2) Naperville Central 9 (3) STC North 7

Jodie Nelson tallied 4 scores, Emily Wagner notched 3 goals and Maria Gabrielli made 9 saves as the Redhawks fended off STC North 9-7. Anna DeVries and Kayleigh Lewis each scored twice while Lexi Coakley blocked 12 shots in the loss for the North Stars.

Finals

(1) Naperville North 10 (2) Naperville Central 6

Taylor Wessel registered 5 scores and Anna Tarantino scored 3 times to help the Huskies earn a 10-6 victory over Naperville Central. Emma Guccione (5 steals) and Jodie Nelson each scored 2 goals while Maria Gabrielli made 7 saves for the Redhawks.
