The Wolfpack travel to the site of the state tournament to take on Stevenson in a battle of Top 5 teams on Monday evening. SICP beat Stevenson 13-7 when the teams last met during Week 5.

 

KEEP AN EYE ON

5:45pm - #39 Conant at #10 Palatine

The Pirates already clinched the MSL West title last week but could finish with a perfect conference record if they can get past last year's conference winners (Conant).

MATCH OF THE DAY

Stevenson 10 St Ignatius 5

Andrew Shashin and Mitchell Sokolsky each scored 3 goals to lead Stevenson past SICP 10-5 on Monday. After giving up the first goal of the contest, the Patriots went on a 5-1 run by halftime and held off any hopes a comeback for the Wolfpack in the second half. Shaurya Gilani blocked 16 shots and Alex Kapecki, Alex Divanyan, Kurt Holzer, and Liam Holzer all scored once in Stevenson's victory. John Reyes notched 3 scores in the loss for Ignatius.

Amundsen 7 Solario 6

The Vikings earned their first win of the season after holding off Solario 7-6 on Monday evening.

 

Barrington 11 Schaumburg 8

Chase Lesniak notched 5 scores and Marshall Mathias totaled 2 goals as Barrington defeated Schaumburg 11-8 on Monday. Alex Asta, Mitch Gavars, Nick Cogswell, and Pat Hogan all scored once in the win. Austin Borst and James Birriel each recorded 3 goals, both Michael Walsh and Tyler Gustafson scored once, and Robert Bach made 10 saves in the loss for the Saxons.

 

Hersey 10 Prospect 3

George Vladimirov scored 5 goals to lead Hersey past Prospect 10-3 as the Huskies capped off a perfect season in the MSL East. Jake Hall and Jamey Carroll each added 2 goals in the win. Nathanael Ginnodo scored 3 times in the loss for the Knights.

 

Neuqua Valley 14 York 6

Simon Shatinsky racked up 7 goals as the Wildcats topped York 14-6. Joey Dalesandro and Lucas Becker both put in 2 goals and John Hedderman saved 7 shots for the victors. Joe Kesslering and Matt Rodriguez both scored 2 goals and Billy Delaney and Logan Frendreis each added one goal in the losing effort.

 

Palatine 11 Conant 8

Wally Kleinfeldt notched 6 goals, Kristian Kalev put in 3 scores, and both Mihai Maior and Omar El Hoffi scored once as the Pirates capped off a perfect 10-0 season the MSL West with an 11-8 victory over Conant. Kleinfeldt and El Hoffi each drew 4 ejections, Jacob Baran totaled 6 steals, and Charlie Davis made 9 saves in the Pirates' win.

 

Stagg 13 Shepard 4

Zack Amendola recorded 3 goals and nine Chargers scored as Stagg earned a 13-4 victory over Shepard.

 

Waubonsie 14 R-B 7

Cameron Steele scored 5 goals, Bradin Krug totaled 4 scores, and Nathan Morris notched 3 scores as the Warriors defeated R-B 14-7.

MATCH OF THE DAY

Conant 6 Palatine 4

Angie Skittone made a key block in the final minute with Conant leading 5-4 and scored an insurance goal in the final seconds of regulation to lift the Cougars over Palatine 6-4 on Monday night. Conant officially clinched the MSL West with a perfect record by earning the win over the second-place Pirates.

 

Skittone totaled 3 goals and Maddy Demaret saved 12 shots in the victory. Kaitlyn Claffey added a goal and led the defense with 4 steals, while Carmen Rosas and Emily Weingart each put in one score. Rachel Chumbook scored 2 times, Caroline Wojtas and Caitlin McHugh each added a goal, and Kim Butler made 9 saves in the loss for Palatine.

 

OTHER KEY GAMES

Fremd 16 Hoffman 2

Samantha Barry scored 4 times and both Emma Hoffman and Samantha DiCanio added 3 goals to help Fremd beat Hoffman 16-2. Megan Younker and Nicole Warnstedt both added 2 goals, Nina Freund and Shae Taylor scored one goal apiece, and Emma Jeronimus stopped 7 shots in the win. Jessica Sullivan and Zoe Dorband both scored once in the loss for the Hawks.

 

Mundelein 13 Glenbrook South 4

Allie Boothe scored 6 times and Emily Garcia netted 3 goals in the Mustangs' 13-4 triumph over Glenbrook South. Anna Ward, Ellie Wingender, Emily Dodd and Sasha Levin each added one score in the win. Anna Hofmockel, Dana Grad, Diana Capota, and Rema Abu-Hashim each scored once in the loss for the Titans.

 

Neuqua Valley 7 York 5

Morgan Miller scored 4 times, Sammi Jaquez netted 2 goals, and Issi French made 17 saves to help the Wildcats beat York 7-5. Sarah Neary also added a goal in the win for Neuqua Valley.

 

Oak Park 10 Sandburg 3

Katie Appell scored 5 goals and drew 3 ejections, Genevieve Curry tallied 3 scores, and Jordin Hale made 12 saves and chipped in with 4 assists as Oak Park knocked off Sandburg 10-3. Jilly Cronin and Maura Dahl both added one goal in the win for the Huskies.

 

Schaumburg 9 Barrington 6

Britney Vasquez recorded 4 goals and Krystal Vezzetti put in 2 scores to help the Saxons beat Barrington 9-6 on Monday. Sam Gavars scored 4 goals in the loss for the Fillies.

 

Vernon Hills 8 St Viator 5

Lauren Wood scored 4 times and Melanie Schaffer netted 2 goals in the Cougars' 8-5 win over St Viator. Katy Udesky also made 7 saves and Morgan Levy totaled 7 steals and 5 assists in the victory.

 

Waubonsie Valley 10 R-B 4

Kimela Srey registered 4 goals and both Samantha Holzschu and Sarah Anderson scored 3 times as the Warriors got past R-B 10-4.

 

Wheeling 13 Buffalo Grove 6

Theresa Godlewski recorded 8 goals and Argelia Diaz chipped in with 2 scores as Wheeling topped Buffalo Grove 13-6. Emily Sowa, Juliana Isayeva and Rachel Ropski each added a goal for the Wildcats.
