GAME PREVIEWS (Thursday, May 3)

BOYS

MATCH OF THE DAY

MCAC Tournament

The Catholic League gets their conference tournament underway on Thursday night, with a play-in game followed by four quarterfinal matchups. The key game on the schedule is the contest between St Patrick and St Ignatius, with the winner likely to match up with top-seeding Fenwick in the semifinal round.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

Libertyville at Conant

The Cougars will be seeking revenge in this battle of Top 25 teams on Thursday night; the Wildcats won last Saturday's meeting 4-3, but Conant ended up winning their own tournament despite the loss.

GIRLS

MATCH OF THE DAY

MSL Championship: Fremd vs Wheeling

Fremd will look to repeat as champions in the MSL in 2012, but to do so, they'll have to get by tough Wheeling squad that ran through the MSL East with a perfect 10-0 record. The Wildcats' task is a difficult proposition, however, considering the Vikings won the last matchup between the two teams 14-11 just over two weeks ago.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

Naperville Central at Sandburg

The Eagles hope to spring a late-season upset when one-loss Naperville Central comes to town; Central won the first meeting between the two squads 11-5 back on April 20.
