GAME PREVIEWS (Wednesday, May 2)

BOYS

MATCH OF THE DAY

MSL Championship: Fremd vs Buffalo Grove

It's all on the line in the Mid-Suburban League on Wednesday night, as Fremd takes on Buffalo Grove for the conference title. The Vikings won the first time the two teams met, but a late-season surge has given the Bison plenty of hope of hoisting the league crown.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

McHenry at Lake Forest

The Warriors face a tricky test when they travel to Lake Forest to take on an underrated Scouts' team on Wednesday night.

GIRLS

MATCH OF THE DAY

Sandburg at Lincoln-Way Central

The Eagles and Knights are both chasing H-F for the SWSC Blue division crown; winning is essential for the team that hopes to make up the one-game difference between these 8-2 teams and H-F (10-1).

KEEP AN EYE ON:

New Trier at Naperville North

The Trevians continue their difficult late-season stretch when they head to Naperville to take on North in a non-conference tilt on Wednesday night.

CPS Tournament

Curie, Lane, Northside, and Whitney Young are the top seeds at this week's CPS Tournament, which gets to the business of the quarterfinal round on Thursday night. All four teams could face difficult tasks in getting to the next round, as Lake View, Lindblom, Payton-Jones, and Taft will have upsets on their mind.
