GAME PREVIEWS (Tuesday, May 1)

BOYS

MATCH OF THE DAY

Latin at Naperville Central

The Romans look to fine-tune for the postseason when they travel from Chicago to Naperville to take on the Redhawks, who are looking to rebound from a few losses over the weekend.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

MSL Playoffs

For the first time, the Mid-Suburban League features crossover games between the MSL East and West to end the season. Five games get underway on Tuesday, serving as a prelude to the MSL Championship game between Buffalo Grove and Fremd on Wednesday night. The key battle on tonight's menu is the fight between second place teams (Conant-Wheeling).

GIRLS

MATCH OF THE DAY

Fenwick at Fremd

The Friars and Vikings will both use this nonconference contest to gear up for their conference finals later this week; both teams have aspirations of the state tournament in two weeks time, so a strong showing here could provide the winner with a ton of late-season momentum.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

MSL Playoffs

The Mid-Suburban League's version of the playoffs continues on Tuesday night, with several crossover contests between East and West teams. Barrington heads to Buffalo Grove in a battle of second-place teams, Conant takes on Prospect in a contest between third-place squads, and Schaumburg faces Hersey in a matchup of fourth-place finishers.
