Week 3 Ballers

 

BOYS

Ben Mars (Sandburg)

Mars totaled 4 goals in an early week win over H-F and then scored 6 times in the Eagles' 11-8 victory over LWC later in the week.

 

Jack Casey (Hersey)

Casey scored 8 times to help lift the Huskies over Elk Grove and Meadows earlier in the week.

 

Jacob Bobiles/Nick Greiner (Niles West)

Bobiles and Greiner both scored 4 times and Dynek made 16 saves in the Wolves' tournament victories over Evanston and Metea Valley.

 

Jake Sweis/Matt Zalesko (Lockport)

Zalesko recorded 10 goals and Sweis put in 9 scores as the Porters earned wins over Andrew and LWC during Week 3.

 

Kevin Carr (Buffalo Grove)

Carr totaled 10 goals in a trio of victories over Elk Grove, Prospect and Vernon Hills.

 

Lucas Smiarowski (Stagg)

Smiarowski tallied 12 goals during Week 3 to help Stagg improve to 7-3 after winning Niles West Tournament title on Saturday.

 

Matt Flanders (Metea Valley)

Flanders poured in 17 goals for the Mustangs as they went 3-1 at the Niles West Tournament after beating LWW, STC East and Maine East.

 

Matthew Soltau (Schaumburg)

Soltau recorded 9 goals to help lead the Saxons past both Hoffman and Palatine during Week 3.

 

Michael Taylor/Nathan Deluna (St Patrick)

Taylor registered 3 key goals and Deluna connected on the game-winning goal in the closing seconds of the Shamrocks' 7-6 win over Loyola.

 

Thomas Fies (Evanston)

Fies registered 22 goals as the Wildkits secured a third place finish at the Niles West Tournament.

 

Tyler Coupe/Tim Bansfield (St Viator)

Coupe scored 12 times and Bansfield made 19 saves as the Lions grabbed wins over Jones-Payton and St Rita during the week.

 

Wyatt Tiscareno (Waubonsie Valley)

Tiscareno scored 7 goals in the Warriors' 11-10 win over St Rita and totaled 17 goals at the Niles West Tournament over the weekend.

 

 

 

GIRLS

Andrea Potgeiter (Barrington)

Potgeiter netted 6 scores for the Fillies in a pair of wins over Conant and Hoffman during the week.

 

Katie Lindgren/Madison Burkhalter (Hersey)

Burkhalter poured in 10 scores and Lindgren scored 9 times as the Huskies (8-1) defeated Elk Grove and Meadows.

 

Dallas Broderson (Jones-Payton)

Broderson scored 8 goals to lead the Lady Eagles' offense in victories over Kelly and Lockport during Week 3.

 

Bella Wrobel (Sandburg)

Wrobel totaled 8 goals in a pair of SWSC victories over both LWE and H-F.

 

Sidney Rosenblum (Schaumburg)

Rosenblum and Vasquez both scored 4 goals in an early-week victory over Hoffman and combined to score 5 times in the Saxons' 8-3 win over Palatine later in the week.
