Week 4 Ballers

 

BOYS

Alex Lavery/Kevin Obrecht/Thomas Wolfe (Oak Park)

Lavery and Wolfe both scored 4 goals and Obrecht stopped 14 shots in OPRF's 13-5 victory over Naperville North.

 

Connor Hecker/Matt Zalesko (Lockport)

Zalesko totaled 9 goals and Hecker made 37 saves in a pair of games against Sandburg and Stagg during Week 4.

 

Ethan Hamp (Von Steuben)

Hamp racked up 29 goals in victories over Maine West, Taft and Schurz as the Panthers improved to 8-5 after Week 4.

 

Joey Jenkot (Sandburg)

Jenkot poured in 8 goals in a 16-10 win over Andrew and helped the Eagles outlast Lockport in overtime earlier in the week.

 

Kyle Poland/Payton Comstock (Fenwick)

Comstock and Poland each scored 8 goals as the Friars went 2-2 at the York Tournament over the weekend. Both players also scored 6 goals in a pair of MCAC wins over St Rita and St Viator during the week.

 

Victor Perez (Lyons)

Perez totaled 9 scores to help the Lions finish in second place at the York Tournament. He ended the event with a 3-goal performance in a 6-4 win over Loyola.

 

 

 

GIRLS

Meredith Lohman (Jones-Payton)

Lohman registered 5 scores to lead the Lady Eagles to a crucial 13-3 conference victory over Whitney Young.

 

Nicole McCabe (Lincoln-Way Central)

McCabe poured in 7 scores to lead the Knights to an 18-6 victory over Lockport and has helped Central start the 2017 season with a 7-2 record. She also scored 5 times in a 12-4 victory over Bradley on Thursday.

 

Sarah Coffman/Sinead Soltis (Richards)

Coffman totaled 15 goals and Soltis scored 13 times as the Bulldogs beat Argo, Stagg and Taft to improve their record to 8-1 this season.

 

Bella Wrobel/Emma Crnich (Sandburg)

Wrobel scored 7 goals and Crnich stopped 18 shots as the Eagles got past both Andrew and Lockport during Week 4.
