Glenbrook North Sectional Preview
The Glenbrook North sectional features at least four teams who have a strong chance to advance to the state tournament. Evanston is the defending champion and has a strong lineup including Jane Igoe, Alex Wich, and Grace Hatcher, plus starting goalie Lanier Zimmer makes the Wildkits a tough team to beat.

.

New Trier has played Evanston tough all season long and could surprise the Wildkits in the semifinals. Allie Hamm is a strong player, while Blake Bartter and a strong lineup and bench are a major plus for the Trevians.

.

St Viator has been a major surprise this season, and they will look to continue their run by at the GBN sectional. Sarah Ostling leads the way for the Lions on offense, while a strong cast featuring Ashley Rivard, Megan Barry, and Ashley Belbin can cause matchup problems for opposing teams. Loyola knocked off the Lions last weekend at the MCAC Championships, and the Ramblers can get to the sectional final if they repeat their performance if the two meet on Friday night. Colleen Shaw and Kristine Pilolli lead the Ramblers, while Courtney Muntean has been impressive in goal over the past few weeks.

.

Hersey could play the role of spoiler in the opening round against Loyola, as Danielle Filipp leads a team that has upset potential against the Ramblers on Wednesday evening.
