Palatine Sectional Preview
Barrington has emerged as a slight favorite at the Palatine sectional based on a strong performance in the final weeks of the season, but there are still a handful of teams who have a solid chance to advance to state over the next four days. Barrington won the MSL Championship over Prospect/Wheeling last week after beating Fremd to win the West division of the conference. However, the Vikings beat the Broncos at the York Tournament and also matchup well with Barrington.

The Vikings will need to beat Hoffman Estates to advance to the semifinals, where they would then face a Buffalo Grove team led by Denise Gates or an upstart Palatine team that has shown major improvements since last season.

St Charles North is a darkhorse as a four seed, and the North Stars have the potential to cause problems for Barrington if the two are to meet in the semifinals. Meanwhile, a strong Conant team led by Ashley Rebou and Erin Bickus will be looking to pull off the opening round upset of St Charles North to advance to the semifinals.
