Lincoln-Way East Sectional Preview
Top-seeded Homewood-Flossmoor has gone 6-0 against the next three seeds in the Lincoln-Way East sectional, making them the clear favorite to advance to state from this bracket. The tandem of Amy Thatcher and Lauren Peterson causes major problems for opposing defenses, while Sam Baffes, Kelsey Christensen, and Ashley Anderson are solid overall players for the Vikings.

.

Lincoln-Way East and Lincoln-Way Central are primed for another rematch if they can advance to the semifinals on Wednesday night. In their last meeting, Central edged East 8-7, meaning that the two teams could be in for another nailbiter if they meet on Friday afternoon.

.

Andrew has steadily improved all season long behind the goaltending of Lauren Surbaugh, and the Thunderbolts have played Flossmoor close in an earlier matchup this season. The two would meet in the semifinals if Andrew can get a first round win.

.

They will have to do that against Marian Catholic, who has the potential to cause a stir against Andrew in the first round. Offensive weapon Bridget Maul has the potential to carry her team to a victory, and they will need her scoring if they are to advance.
