Palatine Sectional Preview -
GIRLS
While Fremd looks to defend their
sectional title and state appearance from last season, Barrington comes in
as the slight favorite after edging the Vikings earlier this year. The
Fillies have the #1 seed and an opening round matchup with #8 Schaumburg,
and the victor meets the winner of the first round game between #4 seed
Buffalo Grove and #5 seed Conant. On the other side of the bracket, #2 seed
Fremd battles #7 seed Hoffman Estates in round one, with the winner to face
either #3 Rolling Meadows or #6 Palatine.

- Martin/Byron: Barrington's top scorers give the overall edge to the Fillies
- Kulick/Lauritis: Fremd's top two scorers have the Vikings thinking of state again
