Waubonsie Sectional Preview - GIRLS
Waubonsie Valley will play host to one of the deepest and most competitive girls' sectionals in the state of Illinois in 2006. Starting at the top, #1 seed Naperville Central is looking for a return trip to state, and they start off with #8 seed St Charles East. If the Redhawks can win, they face the winner of an intriguing matchup between a tough #4 seed in Hinsdale Central or host and #5 seed Waubonsie Valley. #2 seed Neuqua Valley must be taken seriously in their bid to get back to state after advancing two years ago, and the Wildcats get things started in the opening round against #7 seed St Charles North. If Neuqua can advance, they face either #3 seed Naperville North or #6 seed Hinsdale Central.

KEYS

- Oldenburg: Central's hole set has experience and the ability to dominate

- Walk: Redhawks' goalie is a strong leader and could be the key to getting to state

- Provow: Neuqua goalie has unbelievable talent and can carry Neuqua in games

- Patterson: Speedster is hard to defend and finds a way to score
- Gucinski/Rudolph: Warriors depend on these two for defense and offense

- Fitch: Huskies' leader on offense will have to carry the offensive load

- Murphy: Red Devils' goalie could be a difference maker

- Werkema: Top scorer for Hinsdale Central is tough to defend

- Stephenson: Hornets' have a bona fide scoring threat with their hole set
