TUESDAY'S GAME PREVIEWS

A grand total of 42 games fill the schedule on Tuesday night. Here are some of the best matchups from around the state:

BOYS

MATCH OF THE DAY

#18 Naperville North at Neuqua Valley

The Huskies won their own tournament last weekend, earning wins over ranked teams Sandburg and Schaumburg, so they clearly have the momentum on their side as they play at Neuqua Valley on Tuesday. The Wildcats have been struggling recently, so a win against one of their Naperville-area rivals could get their season headed in the right direction.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

SouthWest Suburban Conference games

#19 Sandburg at Lincoln-Way East

#10 Homewood-Flossmoor at Lockport

Bradley at #23 Andrew

All three of the above contests should help determine who the top contenders in the area are as they head towards the postseason in a few weeks. The Griffins, Porters, and Braves all have a handful of quality wins this season, so all of the favorites will need to be at their best to avoid a possible upset.

Lake Forest at #15 New Trier - The Scouts head to Winnetka to take on New Trier, and a win could see them vault into the Top 25 after getting off to a 7-2 start. Meanwhile, the Trevians, who enter the contest with a 7-3-1 mark, will be looking to bounce back after a tough conference loss to Glenbrook North last week.

GIRLS

MATCH OF THE DAY

#21 Lincoln-Way East at #18 Sandburg

Both the Griffins and the Eagles plan to contend with for the SouthWest Suburban Blue Conference title, so tonight's matchup that featuring two ranked opponents should provide a clearer picture as to who will provide the greatest challenge to H-F and LWC.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

#25 Neuqua Valley at #23 Naperville North - Both the Wildcats and the Huskies have had up-and-down seasons, but this matchup has some important ramifications when it comes to sectional seeding, so expect a fierce battle in Naperville between the two rivals.

Buffalo Grove at #16 Wheeling - The Wildcats have been on a roll and remain undefeated atop the MSL East conference, so they'll need to avoid a letdown against upset-minded Buffalo Grove on Tuesday afternoon.
