TUESDAY'S GAME RECAPS

BOYS

Fremd 9 Barrington 5

Andre Degla scored 4 goals and Max Plichta stopped 15 shots to help lift Fremd past Barrington 9-5 in MSL West action on Tuesday. Dan Knudson tallied 3 scores and Phil Schoeder scored 2 times in the win for the Vikings. Chris Hoover made 14 saves in the loss for the Broncos.

 

H-F 20 Lincoln-Way North 4

Caleb Peterson recorded 5 goals to lead Homewood-Flossmoor past Lincoln-Way North 20-4.

 

Northside 8 Von Steuben 5

Cyrus Deloye scored 3 times and Simon Kafka added 2 goals as Northside avenged a weekend loss by beating Von Steuben 8-5 on Tuesday. Joey Mercado and Juan Laboy both scored 2 times in the loss for Von.

 

Palatine 11 Hoffman 6

Kamil Mulawa totaled 5 goals and Justin Behrens added 3 scores to help lead Palatine to an 11-6 victory over Hoffman on Tuesday. Dylan Weissman also added 2 goals and Dan Sommerfield blocked 11 shots for the Pirates. Adam Pasnicki, Mike Christen, and Sang M Han each scored 2 times in the loss for the Hawks.

 

Sandburg 16 Lincoln-Way North 2

Erik Niemeier scored 6 goals and Matt Veldman added 4 scores as Sandburg beat Lincoln-Way North 16-2. Cody Corridino also scored 3 times and Tony Rogina made 12 saves in the win for the Eagles. Jake Roberts and Mike Doyle each tallied one score in the loss for the Phoenix.

 

Stagg 18 Lincoln-Way Central 8

The Chargers jumped out to an 8-0 lead and never looked back as they defeated Lincoln-Way Central 18-8 on Tuesday. Zach Golob scored 5 goals and both Drew Stoffel and Ryan DeAngelis added 4 scores in the win for Stagg. Petar Jackovich totaled 5 scores in the loss for the Knights.


GIRLS

Bremen 12 Evanston 9

Emma Martinus scored 6 goals and Jessie Mroczek added 2 goals as Bremen outlasted Evanston 12-9 on Tuesday. Ellis O'Connor recorded 4 goals in the loss for the Wildkits.

 

Fremd 12 Barrington 7

Lauren Zambelli recorded 5 goals and Sam del Prado and Sam Matuszewski each tallied 2 scores in Fremd's 12-7 victory over Barrington. Julie Conrath stopped 8 shots in the win for the Vikings. Chloe Padula registered 2 scores in the loss for the Fillies.

 

H-F 20 Lincoln-Way West 1

Nine players recorded goals as the Vikings rolled to a 20-1 victory over Lincoln-Way West on Tuesday afternoon. Lauren Majewski scored one time in the loss for the Warriors.

 

Hersey 7 Buffalo Grove 5

Christine Rovani scored 4 goals to help lead Hersey past Buffalo Grove 7-5 in the MSL East matchup on Tuesday.

 

Hoffman 14 Palatine 7

Rachael Gallo scored 8 times and Alex Vick made 7 saves as Hoffman defeated Palatine 14-7. Dorota Knaga also scored 3 goals and Stephanie Castro added 2 scores in the win for the Hawks.

 

Lincoln-Way Central 23 Stagg 11

Danijela Jackovich totaled 8 goals and 9 steals and Brittany Knowlton added 4 scores as Lincoln-Way Central topped Stagg 23-11 on Tuesday. Ashley Knight added 3 scores and Charlene Dundek scored 2 times in the victory for the Knights.

 

Lincoln-Way East 13 Andrew 9

Mary Reilly recorded 7 goals, Brittany Becvar added 4 scores, and Trisha Paul made 16 saves as LWE upended Andrew 13-9. Kelly Baumgartner tallied 3 goals and Allie Fischer and Leah McCarthy both scored 2 times in the loss for the T-Bolts.

 

Maine East 11 Payton 4

Maria Protic registered 7 goals and Joanna Gwizdz added 4 scores as Maine East topped Payton 11-4.

 

Prospect 18 Meadows 8

Jessica Cavaiani scored 6 goals and Meg Dix added 5 scores as Prospect downed Meadows 18-8 in MSL East action on Tuesday. Kallie Shields also tallied 2 scores in the win for the Knights. Emily LeBuhn led the Mustangs with 6 goals in a losing effort.

 

Richards 18 Argo 2

Lisa Gorski scored 5 goals and Nicole Norris and Sam Craig each added 3 scores as Richards earned an 18-2 victory over Argo. Lauren Gorski stopped 16 shots in the win.

 

Sandburg 16 Lincoln-Way North 3

Tara Capouch scored 7 goals to help Sandburg (6-0) stay perfect after a 16-3 victory over Lincoln-Way North. Brittany Kamper, Cara Hays, and Jamie Pappanastos each added 2 scores in the win for the Eagles.

 

Schaumburg 10 Conant 6

Kristy Bessler recorded 4 goals and Samantha Schuckles added 3 scores as Schaumburg beat Conant 10-6 in the MSL West on Tuesday. The Saxons held the Cougars scoreless in the first half, leading 3-0 at the break, en route to the victory. Katie Varga scored 3 goals and Lucie Banahan made 12 saves in the loss for Conant.

MATCH OF THE DAY

Lincoln-Way Central at Stagg (5:00pm) - The Chargers are seeking their first conference win when they play host to Petar Jackovich and the LWC Knights.

 

KEEP AN EYE ON:

Schaumburg at Conant (4:30pm) - The Saxons and Cougars do battle in a MSL West showdown on Tuesday afternoon.


GIRLS

MATCH OF THE DAY

Bremen at Evanston (6:00pm) - The Red Jaguars head to Evanston to take on the Wildkits in a battle of evenly-matched teams.

 

KEEP AN EYE ON:

Andrew at Lincoln-Way East (5:00pm) - The Griffins are looking for their first win of 2011 in what is just their second game played, while Andrew will look to build off their most recent win over Metea Valley.
