BOYS

Conant 13 Hoffman 9

Alan Wojciechowski recorded 3 goals and Jerry Flowers scored 2 times as Conant held off Hoffman 13-9. Mike Desider led Hoffman with 3 goals and Adam Pasnicki and Mike Christen both chipped in with 2 goals in the losing effort for the Hawks.

 

Glenbrook South 11 Maine South 7

JJ Connor and Kevin Roenitz each totaled 3 goals and Mike Sadowski recorded 7 saves as GBS topped Maine South 11-7.

 

Homewood-Flossmoor 15 Lockport 6

Shay Banton totaled 6 goals and Caleb Peterson, Luke Dobben, and Zach Peterson all scored 2 times to lead H-F to a 15-6 victory over Lockport. Brian Cavanaugh scored 3 goals in the loss for the Porters.

 

Palatine 18 Barrington 9

Dylan Weissman totaled 6 goals and 4 assists and Kamil Mulawa added 5 scores as Palatine knocked off Barrington 18-9. John Giuliano and Justin Behrens each added 2 scores and Dan Sommerfield made 10 saves in the Pirates' win. Joey Lagoni tallied 3 scores in the losing effort for the Broncos.

 

Schaumburg 9 Fremd 8

Brandon Luke scored a buzzer-beater for Schaumburg as they edged Fremd 9-8 to avenge an early season conference loss to the Vikings. Luke and Randy Carr both scored 2 times in the win for the Saxons, while Andre Degla led the Vikings with 4 scores.

 

St Viator 13 Lake Forest 9

Gregg O'Connor, Justin Imhoff, and Peter Cleary all scored 4 goals as St Viator beat Lake Forest 13-9.

 

Stagg 12 Lincoln-Way North 7

Drew Stoffel and Juan Valdez both tallied 3 scores to lead Stagg to a 12-7 victory over Lincoln-Way North. Jake Roberts put in 3 goals in the loss for the Phoenix.

 

Wheeling 15 Hersey 7

Clark Jensen tallied 3 goals to help lead Wheeling to a 15-7 victory over Hersey.


GIRLS

Andrew 16 Bradley 2

Kelly Baumgartner, Leah McCarthy, and Lindsey Tamulonis each scored 3 goals as Andrew defeated Bradley 16-2 in a SWSC Red contest on Tuesday. Allie Fischer and Megan Hoffer both scored 2 times, while Marge Joyce recorded 8 saves to earn the win for the T-Bolts. Beth Zhe scored both goals for the Boilers in the losing effort.

 

Bremen 7 Richards 3

Emma Martinus and Nora Plank both scored 2 goals as Bremen knocked off Richards 7-3. Jessie Mroczek led the way for the Red Jaguars on the defensive end with 8 steals.

 

Conant 8 Hoffman 6

Gina Iaffaldano scored 4 times and Barbara Rose added 2 scores as Conant held off rival Hoffman Estates 8-6 on Tuesday. Lucie Banahan also made 11 saves in the win for the Cougars. Rachael Gallo totaled 3 scores in the loss for the Hawks.

 

Evanston 8 New Trier 5

Ellis O'Connor scored 6 goals and Sarah Thompson recorded 14 saves as Evanston defeated New Trier 8-5 to stay perfect in the Central Suburban League. Anna Horstkotte recorded 2 scores in the loss for the Trevians.

 

Fremd 8 Schaumburg 3

Sam Matuszewski scored 3 goals and Sam del Prado added 2 scores as Fremd outscored Schaumburg 7-0 in the second and third quarters to emerge with an 8-3 victory. Amy McEllen, Erika Wickstrom, and Megan Kennedy each tallied one goal in the Vikings' win, while Kristy Bessler led the Saxons with 2 goals.

 

Hersey 6 Wheeling 5

Christine Rovani scored 4 goals to lead Hersey to a 6-5 victory over Wheeling on Tuesday evening. Rachel Murphy tallied 3 scores for the Wildcats in the loss.

 

Lincoln-Way North 21 Stagg 7

Hannah Henley and Morgan Parkinson each scored both scored 3 goals to lead LWN to a 21-7 victory over Stagg.

 

Naperville North 10 Neuqua Valley 8

Emma Ryan recorded 11 saves and Taylor Bridgman added 3 goals to help Naperville North outlast Neuqua 10-8 on Tuesday night. Audrey Chien and Sofi Prorok also scored 2 times in the Huskies' win. Tricia Bannister recorded 3 goals and Tara Blanzy added 2 scores in the losing cause for the Wildcats.

 

Palatine 9 Barrington 8 (OT)

Paige Wainwright tallied 4 goals and Nicole Huffman and Nicole Theis each chipped in with 2 scores as Palatine beat Barrington in overtime 9-8.

 

Sandburg 8 Lincoln-Way East 4

Jamie Pappanastos and Lauren Olsen each tallied 2 goals and Korey Flynn blocked 12 shots to help Sandburg defeat LWE 8-4 on Tuesday. Brittany Becvar scored 2 times in the loss for the Griffins.

 

St Viator 13 Lake Forest 6

Eileen Mallof scored 4 goals and both Alli Lardner and Megan Shover scored 3 times in St Viator's 13-6 win over Lake Forest. Emily Nowlin tallied 3 scores in the loss for the Scouts.

 

TUESDAY'S GAME PREVIEWS        

BOYS

MATCH OF THE DAY

Lockport at H-F (5:00pm) - The Vikings will look to bounce back from Monday's tough loss to Lyons, while the Porters will try to make a big impact on the SWSC title race with a win against one of the two remaining undefeated teams in the conference.

 

KEEP AN EYE ON:

Sandburg at LWE (5:00pm) - Sandburg will attempt to stay perfect in the SWSC when they travel to Lincoln-Way East to take on the Griffins.


GIRLS

MATCH OF THE DAY

New Trier at Evanston (7:00pm) - The Trevians and Wildkits resume their rivalry in a night game at Evanston. The Trevians won the first meeting between the two teams 8-4 during the first weekend of the season.

 

KEEP AN EYE ON:

Naperville North at Neuqua Valley (6:00pm) - The Wildcats look for their second win over the Huskies this season after beating them 8-4 in Week 1. Naperville North will look to continue their hot streak after winning the Hinsdale Central Tournament over the weekend.
