WEDNESDAY'S GAME PREVIEWS

BOYS

MATCH OF THE DAY

St Ignatius at Latin (6:00pm) - The Wolfpack have beaten Latin in the sectional finals for the last two years at UIC, so this rematch could once again serve as a preview to the 2011 sectional finals.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

Mundelein at New Trier (6:00pm) - The Mustangs will look to bounce back from a narrow loss to Palatine on Monday, while New Trier will be hoping for a win to build momentum heading into their own tournament this weekend.

AND

Sandburg at Lyons (6:00pm) - Both the Eagles and Lions have been on a roll as of late, so something will have to give when Jim Caliendo's squad makes the short trip to LaGrange to take on David Sekula and LT.

GIRLS

MATCH OF THE DAY

Lyons at Sandburg (5:00pm) - Both Lyons and Sandburg will play in the LT Sectional next month, so Wednesday's game could be a preview of things to come when the state playoffs get underway.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

New Trier at Mundelein (6:00pm) - The Trevians head to Mundelein to try and avenge a 12-5 loss to the Mustangs last weekend at the Fenwick Tournament.
