*** Sekula forces a turnover for Black; Menis scores
from 2m on the other end, assisted by Osborne!
*** Himmel dishes out from 2m to Poulos on the right
wing, but his lob goes left of the goal
*** Stanley gets double-teamed at 2m and Rembialkowski
and Blume force a turnover
*** Francisco makes a save on the other end on Blume's
2m chance and keeps the White team within a goal
*** White forces a shot-clock violation and are still
in search of their first goal
*** After an ejection, Menis lobs a shot that hits off
the right post...
*** ...leading to a breakaway goal for Jacob Himmel!
Francisco collected the rebound and assisted the Latin star on the goal
*** Francisco makes a save on McClone's try from
4m...he finds Himmel open again and he scores his second straight goal!
*** Himmel with a backhand goal! That's three straight
for White and they claim a 3-1 lead late in the first period
*** Stablein with a save; Farmer scores from 2m,
assisted by Rembialkowski, and the lead is trimmed to 3-2!
*** Stelnicki tips Rickert's shot and Osborne tries to
swat the deflected ball in from the right side, but it just misses to the
right
*** A deflected shot falls to Reilly Shanahan on the
left wing and he scores to tie the score at 3-3!
*** Poulos blocks Sekula's shot at the end of the first
period, as the teams go to the second quarter tied at 3-3

Quarter 2
*** Stanley wins the swimoff, but Poulos forces a
turnover for White
*** After an ejection, Poulos finds the right corner to
his liking, sneaking a shot into the low corner and White leads 4-3!
*** Rembialkowski forces a turnover at 2m; Stanley
skips a shot off the crossbar from 7m
*** Galainena earns a steal at 2m; Stablein blocks his
chance at 2m and Black calls a timeout to make a line change
*** Malfar with a steal; Krolikiewicz with a steal on
the other end, but his pass is stolen by Francisco
*** Stelnicki with a steal, he can't get a breakaway
shot off but draws an ejection...but Francisco makes another save
*** Krolikiewicz makes a steal at 2m for Black
*** After an ejection, Will Davidson lofts a pass to 2m
and Stelnicki slams it in to tie the score at 4-4
*** Rickert looks for Poulos on the left post after a
kickout, but his shot goes over the net
*** Francisco blocks Stelnicki's shot over the goal; he
makes another save on Shanahan's attempt from the right side
*** Stablein passes ahead to Osborne on the left, and
he drops a pass in front of Menis that he easily scores to put Black ahead
5-4!
*** Black forces a turnover at the end of the period,
and they take a 5-4 lead at halftime
Q2 - Black 5 White 4
Quarter 3
*** Stelnicki wins the swimoff but the Black team's
possession results in a turnover
*** TJ Considine earns a steal at 2m for White; he
draws an ejection on the other end, but Rickert's shot misses to the right
side
*** Alvarado and Considine team up to force a turnover
*** Niemeier's 2m defense leads to a steal by Stelnicki
*** Osborne forces a turnover at 2m and White calls a
timeout to make substitutions
*** A loose ball falls to Mike Mulcrone and he delivers
a shot from 7m that ties the game at 5-5!
*** Blume finds Poulos open at 2m and his backhand shot
puts White ahead 6-5!
*** Menis ties the game at 6-6 with a goal from 2m
midway through the third period
*** Stanley responds to his NC teammate's goal with a
sweet shot from inside 5m; 7-6 White!
*** Osborne evens the game at 7-7 with a goal from the
right post, assisted by Stelnicki
*** Galainena makes a perimeter steal and finds Himmel
open on the left, and he notches his fourth goal of the game!
*** Osborne tries to turn his defender at 2m but gets
triple-teamed and loses possession
*** Niemeier forces a turnover, but McClone does the
same on the other end for White
*** Stablein finds Davidson at 5m but his shot goes
over the goal
*** In the closing seconds, Francisco lofts a shot on
goal but Stablein knocks it down as the buzzer sounds
Q3 - White 8 Black 7
Quarter 4
*** AJ Galainena puts White ahead by two goals, scoring
from 7m to start the period
*** Francisco makes his second save of the period,
keeping White ahead by two scores
*** Stanley has a chance at 2m but Shanahan forces a
turnover
*** Shanahan tries a shot from 7m but Poulos blocks it
and White calls a timeout
*** Stablein blocks a shot out of play for Black;
he makes another save to deny Malfar's shot from the left post!
*** Mulcrone's shot from the left is blocked by Dowdle;
he gets the rebound but hits the crossbar from the same spot
*** Dowdle assists Rembialkowski on a goal from 5m and
Black cuts the lead to 9-8 halfway through the last quarter
*** Stelnicki draws an ejection; Francisco blocks
Dowdle's shot from the right wing; Francisco with another save!
*** Krolikiewicz with a breakaway chance but Stablein
gets a hand on it to keep black within one; Black calls timeout
*** Mulcrone tries to turn his defender but falls
victim to a double team and Black has a chance to tie
*** Osborne finds Stelnicki open on the left post after
an ejection and he ties the game at 9-9!
*** Himmel draws an ejection in the final minute!
*** Stablein denies a shot by Mulcrone and Black can
win it in the final thirty seconds
*** Francisco blocks a shot by Katz and White calls
timeout with 0:24 left to play in a tie game!
*** A tie will result in a shootout...if necessary
*** Galainena tries a lob but Steblein makes the save
*** Osborne shoots over the goal in the last second,
then Stablein makes a save at the buzzer and we have a SHOOTOUT up next!

SHOOTOUT
*** So let's see what we have here for the shootout.
It's a state finals rematch between Fenwick goalie Dan Francisco (White)
and
Pat Stablein (Black).
Six players from each team will shoot...starting with 2010 Player of the
Year Mark Menis.
*** NC's Mark Menis easily delivers to the right corner
and gives Black a 10-9 advantage
*** OPRF's Tommy Poulos skips a shot into the left side
of the cage to even things at 10-10
*** LT's Dave Sekula hits the left post and it bounces
off the back of Francisco's head and goes in! 11-10 Black!
*** Latin's Jacob Himmel evens things up with a shot to
the right side of the net, tying the score at 11-11
*** McHenry's Reilly Shanahan smashes a shot into the
right corner; 12-11 Black
*** Latin's AJ Galainena eases a shot into the right
corner to even things at 12-12
*** Francisco blocks Will Davidson's attempt to the
left side and White can take the lead here!
*** Mark Alvarado swerves a shot into the right side of
the net to give White a 13-12 lead
*** Francisco!!! He gets to Matt Stelnicki's shot to
the left side and White wins 13-12!!!
*** Francisco and Jacob Himmel are named Co-MVP's of
the All-Star Game
