(27-0) in 2011. See below for round-by-round details:

      Preliminary
      Round
Brother Rice beat Palatine in a
key game to start things on Saturday at the Stevenson Tournament,
advancing to the championship bracket. Meanwhile, Oak Park beat Mundelein
9-8 and Lyons beat New Trier 16-6, so both winners moved on to play for
fourth place later in the afternoon.

      Seventh
      Place Bracket
New Trier began their quest for
seventh place by outlasting Mundelein 15-14 in a shootout. The Trevians
trailed by a goal in the last minute of regulation, but Konrad VonMoltke
earned a perimeter steal and assisted Jordan Palmer on a breakaway goal to
send the game into overtime. Gavin Taves allowed just two goals in the
shootout to give NT their first win of the event. Later, the Trevians beat
Stevenson 14-9, as VonMoltke poured in 6 goals and Palmer scored 3 times
      in the win.

      Mundelein downed Stevenson 13-9
for eighth place at the event.

      Fourth Place
      Bracket
      Lyons earned convincing wins
over Oak Park and Palatine to finish in fourth place with a 3-1 record.
David Sekula scored 13 goals, Joe Shannon put in 9 scores, and Kovas Zygas
scored 7 times at the tournament for LT.

Palatine beat Oak Park 8-6 to
finish in fifth place, as Kamil Mulawa recorded 3 scores and both
Christian Kalfas and Justin Behrens scored 2 times in the win. Dan
Sommerfield also made 18 saves in Palatine's second win of the event.

      First Place
      Bracket
      Fenwick started the second day
with a 12-6 win over Brother Rice, as Connor Brown and Ted Herbstritt both
scored 3 goals and Matt Farmer notched 2 scores in the win. Mike Mulcrone
put in 3 scores and Matt Becker scored 2 times in the loss for the
      Crusaders.

In the battle for first place,
Fenwick edged Naperville Central on Matt Farmer's goal with 1:20 remaining
in the fourth period. The Redhawks nearly scored in the final minute, but
Pat May's lob attempt fell short of the left corner and Fenwick goalie Dan
Newell cleared the loose ball to secure the Friars' twenty-seventh win of the
      season.

      Earlier in the fourth quarter,
Farmer gave Fenwick a 6-5 lead after turning his defender at two meters
and sweeping a shot just under the crossbar with 4:34 remaining. NC's
Kristian Altuve responded immediately on the other end, scoring at the
4:13 mark to even the score at 6-6. From there, both defenses put the
clamps down, with Newell and Stablein each making a key play to keep the
game tied. Farmer's heroics came from just outside five meters, as he drew
a foul and released a quick shot to beat Stablein to the near post to give
      Fenwick the win.

In the final game of the event,
Naperville Central and Brother Rice squared off for second place honors,
with the Redhawks earning a 15-13 win over the Crusaders. Rice cut the
lead to 13-12 midway through the period, but Kyle Rickert scored a rebound
goal after an NC counterattack to give the Redhawks a late two-goal
cushion. Dave Jackson trimmed the lead to 14-13 with a goal in the final
minute, but Central was able to run most of the remaining time off the
game clock, before Jay Howenstine scored in the closing seconds to seal
      the Redhawks 15-13 victory.
