BOYS

Homewood-Flossmoor 17 Lincoln-Way East 4

Shay Banton recorded 9 scores and Jacob Bodnar stopped 13 shots as H-F defeated LWE 17-4. Caleb Peterson and Luke Dobben both scored 3 times in the Vikings' win. Steven Walczak scored 2 times and Tom Vander Velde made 14 saves in the Griffins' loss.

 

Lyons 19 Palatine 10

Joe Shannon scored 6 goals and Kovas Zygas totaled 4 scores to help Lyons beat Palatine 19-10. David Sekula scored 3 times and Andrew Brown made 16 saves in the Lions' win. John Giuliano scored 5 goals and Dan Sommerfield made 10 saves in the loss for the Pirates.

 

Morgan Park 16 Taft 15

Richard Leigh tallied 9 scores in Morgan Park's 16-15 victory over Taft on Tuesday evening. Jaime Riano totaled 11 goals in the loss for Eagles.

 

Neuqua Valley 22 Lockport 8

AJ Quebbeman totaled 8 goals and 3 assists to lead Neuqua Valley to a 22-8 win over Lockport on Tuesday night.

 

St Rita 9 Bremen 7

Mike Hernandez scored 3 goals and Neil Ehmig added 2 scores to help St Rita earn a 9-7 victory over Bremen.


GIRLS

Bremen 17 Bradley 3

Emma Martinus recorded 5 scores and Hannah Schultz notched 3 goals in Bremen's 17-3 victory over Bradley. Vasi Vasilopoulos made 10 saves as the Red Jaguars improved to 19-7 on the season.

 

Conant 12 Maine West 6

Katie Varga scored 4 goals and Kristi Burke pitched in with 3 scores in Conant's 12-6 win over Maine West. Barbara Rose also put in 2 scores and Jessica Southern and Lucie Banahan combined to make 14 saves in the Cougars' victory. Rachel Pond recorded 4 scores and Tara Woodford made 15 saves in the loss for the Warriors.

 

Lake Forest 12 Deer Park 6

Emily Nowlin scored 7 goals and Sarah Grandone put in 2 scores to help lead Lake Forest to a 12-6 victory over Deer Park. Margot Meyer made 11 saves in the win for the Scouts.

 

Lincoln-Way West 21 Stagg 13

Allison Rocha tallied 5 scores, Lauren Majewski added 4 scores, and Sara Carse chipped in with 3 goals in LWW's 21-13 win over Stagg on Tuesday.

 

Meadows 9 St Charles North 8

Emily LeBuhn scored 6 goals to help lift Meadows past STC North 9-8. Claire Bultema recorded 3 scores in the losing effort for the North Stars.

 

Morgan Park 18 Taft 4

Janelle Wenner scored 9 goals and Jelena Bates added 6 scores to lead Morgan Park to an 18-4 win over Taft.

 

Sandburg 11 Neuqua Valley 4

Jamie Pappanastos recorded 7 goals and Korey Flynn stopped 12 shots as Sandburg upended Neuqua Valley 11-4 on Tuesday. Rachel Lehman and Tricia Bannister each scored 2 times in the loss for the Wildcats.

 

Wheeling 7 St Viator 5

Leah Malsom totaled 5 scores and Callie Schoeneman scored 2 times in Wheeling's 7-5 win over St Viator.

 

York 14 Hinsdale Central 12

Trailing 10-5 entering the final quarter, York put together a 9-2 run that helped them earn a 14-12 conference victory over Hinsdale Central on Tuesday night. Jamie Redmond scored 6 times to lead the Lady Dukes, while Carly Redmond put in 3 scores in the win.

Lyons at Palatine (6:00pm) - The top seeds at the LT and Vernon Hills sectionals meet up for a late-season test on Tuesday night.

 

KEEP AN EYE ON:

Naperville Central at Latin (5:30pm) - #3 Naperville Central travels to Chicago to take on #11 Latin in nonconference action.


GIRLS

MATCH OF THE DAY

Neuqua Valley at Sandburg (5:00pm) - The Eagles continue their tough late-season stretch when they play host to Neuqua Valley on Tuesday.

 

KEEP AN EYE ON:

Homewood-Flossmoor at Lincoln-Way East (5:00pm) - The Vikings (10-0) are close to securing the SWSC Blue title, but they will need to get past Lincoln-Way East (8-3) on the road just one day before facing Sandburg (9-2) in conference play.
